No one knows what will future bring. It's good that you prepare to buy other crypto ,in case your worries become a reality. While you still hold your btc and earn some profit, why dont you speculate in other crypto. who knows that other crypto will also double your profit. good luck.

You might be feel worried if you really rely yourself only in BTC. When we talked about btc it is volatile we may can't determine if btc will still survive or not. So, maybe to make sure that your near future without btc is still good try not to really depend in this one. In short make some other ways to earn money or else don't leave your job just of this one.

No. I am not worrying at all about the future of Bitcoin. Bitcoin had gone through such kind of situation before. Bitcoin or any kind of crypto currency is unstable. So you can't predict what will be the price when you get up from sleep. So to me I think without being hopeless just be a little clever by buying Bitcoin for future. When the price will be high like last year then by selling I can earn some extra money. So don't be hopeless. Just take tge advantage of the current situation.

bitcoins have been withstanding serious attacks over the past couple of months form  both the media and financial houses, the governments have not been idle eighter , they have been adding to  the stack of issues. with all of these issues bitcoin has proven its resilience as not only has it risen from a low of 6000 to now be somewhere in the 11000 region , but it is expected to rise even more in the coming months. if bitcoins is still able to be reacting in this way under pressure what will happen in the future when most if not all of these challenges disappear?
Since  bitcoin survive  for several  years without doubt
It will  survive for the next several years, because there was  a saying  that  says what does not kill  you make  you  stronger, the future  of bitcoin
really  certain that it will become valuable currency more  than gold.

funny thing is, you cannot learn much from the past.

trading is single and mass psychology.
all articles explaining why price moved to a certain are somewhat "guesses" and no proofs, that a news/rumor/event was truely the reason that triggered the buy/sell action.

single because you decide when to enter/leave. Mass because thousands of others try the same.
btw everyone trades to gain something (security, capital, diversity), so a trade is only happening because there are two different approaches (sell/buy) at the same time.

i'm a bit worried too, a lot of markets got wrecked once people started to trade futures of them
Exactly you guys don't have to be fear or worry about the future of bitcoin. All that's happening with bitcoin is positive and till date haven't shown any signs of destruction. If it is towards the end, now the entire technology advancement should have come to an end without new usage implementation.

I see a lot of optimism about bitcoin, which is understandable seeing the price recently.
But I have to admit I'm a little worried about the long term future of btc.
The major problems if the currency still haven't been dealt with. I see 2 major ones:

-Block size. Which makes the delay and fees of transaction rise very fast. Smaller transactions are more and more difficult to make.
-The centralization of the market. China got low cost electricity, which make them by far the most bitcoin mining capable.
-And maybe others that I'm not aware of.

Another thing: The Hard forks that are oddly getting much more frequent than before. (BCH, BTG, Segwitx2 etc...) It almost looks like "attacks" in order to divide us. Now called "airdrops" by the community. Even though they're supposed to solve some of the problems.

All in all, this makes me really worried about btc future. I've been a strong holder since 2014, and I made quite a lot of money with bitcoins, but I begin to doubt now, even though the price is crushing ATM. Please help me keeping faith. Or should I switch to another currency ? Really thinking about ETH recently.

we worry because we are concerned of the future of bitcoin. if you are not worried then you do not understand anything in a deeper sense. let us not only see the positive outcomes of bitcoin but also its possible downfall, although not in the near future.

If you are analyzing the situation today then you will probably believe that bitcoins does really have a future, bitcoins is gaining its own popularity due to the massive investors in the market each day so it only means that there is higher probability that bitcoins will increase its value in the future so you should hold your coins as much as you can.

The forks re meant to solve problems but so far they aren't, they seemingly harbor their own intentions which to me is more of getting money and getting out. I don't think there is a reason to worry about BTC's survival based on the block sizes and transactions fees, they are important factors, but the governmental legislation are more of a concern.
It is the worst news for today I heard form you that you sold your bitcoin at this time, price of bitcoin is increasing mate it is going high again you are in lose, some people use to sell when they see the price of bitcoin a bit low but it is good time to buy instead of selling it. If you will have some patience you can earn high profit, so still there is chance if you have the money you got by selling bitcoin, invest it and again hold for the long time don’t sell so you will be able to recover this lose just after the few months.

I am not worried about the future of bitcoin. I am hundred percent sure that bitcoin will last more years. Especially now that more and more people are using this, and by this surely the foundation of bitcoin will be stronger. Also some of the countries now are opening their minds of accepting bitcoin to their jurisdictions. Business and other industries are now making their steps on how to incorporate their line to bitcoin. Over all of this current stand of bitcoin we can say that bitcoin is just in the middle age of its carrier and will run for long more years.

You should not doubt bitcoin, over it actively work, here, for example, quite recently there was a Lightning Network system which essentially reduced the size of the Commission.
