There are several types of airdrops. And you would be frustrated if you joined anything and everything ahead of you. Just like bounties, you need to do some small research before joining an airdrop. There are a lot of them and selecting among them needs some homework. Of all those airdrops, I have better results with DEFI coins as they mostly provide the coins and are instantly exchangeable. These types of airdrop are generally hosted on official twitter handle. Airdrops hosted by popular managers like Airdrop detective and Airdrop Ninja are mostly escrowed, that way you would know you are going to get the coins.

it is good to note that some airdrops are to build social media accounts. mostly are scam and they tend to build on dump followers that failed to do simple research. many airdrops are failed projects that are struggling to build something new in the crypto market. the more you participate on airdrops, the more you get frustrated in crypto. i think it is good to join Airdrops on coinmarketcap even if you are not lucky, one day luck will shine on you.

Significant value airdrops did not ask for much info or tasks.
Can an Airdrop in this present time have a 'significant value',
Yes and more than what we saw in 2017 craze, but those are mostly restrospective ones.

Let put it this way, the airdrop of today are strategic airdrop that reward real users of their platform and not those asking you to promote them for worthless tokens. Check out most of the profitable airdrop of today came as a result of using their platform like dydx, uniswap and the countless Defi related swap decentralized exchange airdropping their governance tokens to those that are using their platform.

We also have those airdropping their tokens for simply whitelisting your address during their early days of introduction to the industry. Do not waste your time on all this airdrop asking you to tag all your friends, retweet all theirs tweets and do all sorts of free promotions, usually they are worthless even though they finally send you the tokens.

Can an Airdrop in this present time have a 'significant value', I knew there was actually a time airdrops were pretty popular with crypto users, though actually it still had a small value, but with time, more often than not, an airdrop was either a scam or having a very insignificant value. There's actually no reason whatsoever for anyone to give out their personal information just for one insignificant airdrop or the other as I take it not to be worth it, but if you've found a list of airdrops you think are worthy ones, you can share with people who are still interested in airdrops, but personally, I'll advice crypto users to forget about airdrops.

Have joined hundreds of airdrops and have learned something which I would like to share with you as many seems to waste their time on shityy airdrops which tbf aren't even worthy of being called airdrops.

Significant value airdrops did not ask for much info or tasks.

These projects stayed true to what 'airdrop' really is. Only asked for the address so they can send you token, tho sometimes there were requirements to prevent sybil entries.

No follow to tens of social links and other social media bs, didn't attach $ value, no sign up, no lucky winners, no referral shite, and oh, no KYC.

Airdrops is just a piece of shit only to me, in fact, I'm sick and tired of it actually. Instead of spending time with it, why not try to join any bounties arise here in the forum, just make sure you do the task and submit the requirements needed for you to be rewarded in the end of their bounty campaign just as simple as that. In short, there is not good airdrops that arise here in crypto space so far.

Dydx provided fantastic airdrops this year, good airdrops mostly come from dex running on the ETH network.
for airdrops who just want to increase their following they usually don't have great value, although there are also some decent ones but those are hard to find.

That's the result of being able to create coins out of thin air and attach some value to it makes it attractive to those who are willing to take advantage and have some time to convince of the project they are working on and then pull the rug once they are satisfied with what they see.

I think it's a good airdrop if you receive the token. That doesn't mean that it has value, but you have the coin itself.

I have earned decent airdrop for past few years now and it was a good experience earning free tokens that really gave me good profit but sometimes selling early in the game made me realized that I am not very lucky in this industry. I sold my TWT last year for small amount now it worth it thousands of dollars and I had 181 solana on binance airdrop and i just sold it for only 180$, now it worth 23$k. These are worthy airdrops I had and hoping more worthy airdrop this year to come for me and hoping I will make a mistake again in my life and stick to hold for a long term goal.

Thanks for sharing, not happy you could not make the desired amount. That means holding longer can actually make a difference.

Regardless if it requires several tasks or just easy ones doesn't guarantee a worthy airdrop.

Back before, there's no need for social media hypes that's why not much task is needed and sometimes only an address is required to be eligible in an airdrop. But with the dropping value of most airdrop coins, as years pass by, projects need to hyped it that's why they are requiring some tasks to somehow create an awareness.

In most cases, airdrop from new projects doesn't seem to be worth spending time now. It now depends on the self-preferences of the users if they like to participate.

Valuable airdrops usually require interaction. Airdrops that are not required are usually of very little value.

I share your point of view, I also used to participate in hundreds of airdrops, but actually I got tired, so I ceased doing that. Now I am focused on bounties more, and I want to try ambassador program, it means that you promote projects by doing posts or videos about them, so you become an early partner and then get bonuses, but it requires a lot of time.
