i am not a programmer, so is there custom software to buy?

Somebody was selling a cryptsy clone on this forum the last week or so, and it could be something open-source on github, but if you want to setup an exchanger you need some technical skill I guess, or alternatively hire someone. Also clones tend to have all kind of problems if you have no minimal programming skills to fix them, as far as I know.

That's the option I mean with "add for free". They have to make money, so they add popular coins for free...calling it "public demand" or interest. Coins that promise high trading volume don't have to pay a fee. But what new coin does have such a public interest, so they only get listed by paying.

Basically yes, it could be simple copy paste. Even easier to pick up the source code of an existing, feature rich coin what looks the most appealing for you, rename it, change the images, maybe you will need a bit of tinkering with the emission rules and then you are ready to go
