If someday we actually get to be immortal, wouldn't this mean that:
- The world would, at some time, be with a lot of people and no space.
- Then we would need to resort to abortion and birth control.
- Then, people would start to get bored sometime.

So, would immortality be worth it?

In my opinion, living immortal isn't worth it since it's a kinda boring. Also, I hate missing people I loved since being an immortal doesn't mean you'll belong to your lovoed ones for a long time.

Immortality is not worth it .because the population would be too much and then young people would not have so much chance .i think i feel better that we have to die one day other wise we would not have appreciate our life so much like we do now.

Life then depreciates in the case of immortality and turns into a real boring hell. Especially if you can not even commit suicide. Wait for several thousand years to do the same thing

This topic reminds me of Wolverine. I recently watched Logan, and I think that it would be fun at the start, but in the long run, it's going to get boring, maybe you can get tired of adjusting to the people around you and you will get used to getting hurt because all of your friends will probably die and that's a sad thing to see.

Immortality is meaningless. Because you have to regulate the birth rate. And a person will simply get bored of living for several thousand years and he will want to commit suicide.

Basically this is something that looks so similar to a koreanovela that id watch entitled "Goblin" , basically the goblin is a human warrior on his era and died full of regret and his people wish him to be alive and the Almighty grant that request and became immortal he was able to see the full history of the world but its just so sad seeing your people died due to age.

In limited space and increasing population, it would be interesting but cruel world if immortality exist in human world.
Because leader will choose survivor mode for human to control human population, you can observe it in China eg : one child policy
and people has to struggle a lot before really can achieve immortality.
Life is intersting if you keep a positive mindset and life motive isn't achieve immortality but to learn from the process and get the result.
Immortality will be meaningful if you live your life in your desirable way without hurting the society.

Immortality would not make sense of life. Who will be interested in living for several million years and do the same thing?

I think immortality will not be worth it. If people will be immortal, they'll get bored doing the things repeatedly. There will still be space but there will be no peacefulness thru immortality. I dont agree with abortion and birth control for immortality. As i think of immortality, it will just be the same people and no rebirth will happen. But it will really be boring after all. Being an immortal as an idea will give you an excitement yet its a really big challenge of you can handle it forever.

Depends on what kind of immortality. I assume it's just the ability not to age? If this is the case then it's not so bad.

But hopefully when this happens, we'll have started to colonise other planets.

- if immortality is possible, i think it will also become possible that humans will go to another planets to live, even it would take very long years
- no need because of the above statement but possible
- ofcourse, imagine if you are already lived for a thousand years and already did all you want.

You always have to be careful what you wish for.. you ask for immortality
and you get to stay alive, but all dried up and unable to move or speak or something.

I think it definitely depends on 'how'.  Wouldn't mind being 27 forever!

While people are thinking about how much of a genius you'll become after living for thousands of years, I think this is the more realistic version of immortality: The Man from Earth

Of course it is. Imagine being immortal and you have all the time in the world. Then you go to jail and you have a life sentence. Immortal would mean forever in jail. LOL

think of wolverine, he is immortal, i think he is tired from everything he has seen in the world, and having a loved one that is mortal will bring lots of pain. i think it would be cool in the beginning because you can do all the things you want with fear, but it would eventually just become a lifelong rutine.

I really think that immortality would not be worth it,
you would just be tired and be bored on your life if you could live forever.
