With the recent volatility, I am having 2nd thoughts if we should even be receiving our salary in BTC. It feels that I may be short changed within a time span of 12 hours.

Bitcoin is now a form of investment, and lesser of a digital currency for me. Like some forumers have always advocated, how do you spend gold?

Yeah that is one problem if it keeps moving. Better get fiat than bitcoin. Just change that fiat salary in bitcoin when you feel it. It should not be a forced currency rather used as a investment. Problem is people want to force to make it a currency. I dont see much movement when that happen.

yeah besides bitcoin has a very high fluctuation. we also use fiat currencies as a major in the world. so inevitably
you have to accept the payment of salaries to the bitcoin

If you are a BTC lover, would you one day like to get your paycheck 100% in BTC?

Personally I won't. Because many facilities in my area doesn't support BTC payment. Smiley I do not mind receiving, say, 20% of my pay in BTC denomination.
As for my opinion, I prefer the BTC for my wages. I can increase the price of BTC. because when you accept your cash. cash really no hope rising. I'm right? but it just depends on the situation.

Cash/wages are meant for covering your daily regular spendings. Bitcoin in most of the cases should just be intact with exchanges to take advantages of the price fluctuations.

If in my case, I will accept bitcon instead of cash as my salary then that will just give me a doubt if I have to use it or not to support my daily needs since I care for the bitcoin price.

Just consider the bitcoin as a currency, so just like other currencies you will use your bitcoins on your daily needs whenever you need them and have to save your bitcoins if you feel now you have completed your needs and have to save.

Disagree. Im treating bitcoin more as an investment compare from being currency so spending them for daily needs will really have a hard time for me to decide.

But you know, if only most of the people will treat this as a currency then maybe I will go the flow but for now Im treating this as investment to make profits.

Until the day comes that the price of BTC has become as stable as, say the dollar, that is only the time that I'd consider receiving it as salary. As it is right now, it is hard to bet on bitcoin for stability, because of fluctuations here and there. I know that it is on a steep climb right now, but when the time comes that it dips, you certainly wouldn't want to receive something that is lower than your expected salary.

I think receive your salary of monthly work in Bitcoin is risky.
Since the price of Bitcoin is quite unstable, so a small change can affect your income.
as for payment it is not good receiving it in bitcoin because of price fluctuation, I think receiving it still in fiat will do
and after buy some btc for investment so risk is not that much, how i imagined working so hard for a month then
received less when the price of btc fall down.

I am already receiving some % of my salary in bitcoins, and happy to say that I am saving them aside.
I am lucky to have such a company which pays me in bitcoins too with fiat.

That's a good way to get a additional income from our regular salary. Why it seems a additional income because if we move with patience we will get periodical profit due to the gradually rising nature.

I think at this moment receiving salary as btc would be a hassle as showing income records becomes difficult and you might end up in legal trouble.
But it would be highly convenient if the government recognized the currency, I would definetely then prefer bitcoin.
Depends actually on what kind of job you are doing and what kind of a company you are working under. I heard there are already multiple online companies that be glad to pay their employees with bitcoins because the company owners are also bitcoin users/holders.

I would still love to if the value doesn't go down below $500. It all depends upon the value of the BTC. Everyone in this forum, is looking to earn BTC more as the value is really increasing day by day. Lets hope that it still stays stable.

yes it is a fact. but the other reason is that we have no shops who accept bitcoin. then what will we do if they are not accepting it. it will make me in trouble again to exchange it in my flat currency.
That's true and this problem is happening on a lot of regions. Where not have a store can accept offline payment. and some people feel complicated to exchange their BTC into fiat currency.

It all depends on the situation. As of now, I would say no to that. I use my salary for my daily living -- go to the market, buy goods, clothes, pay bills, where bitcoin is not yet accepted as payment, so I would prefer it to be in fiat. If my money was intended to be in my savings, it is okay for me to be in bitcoin, since I will just save it now and use it later.
you can say this because you will have some extra money except your salary. but those people who are using their salary for buying good for the month. i think they will not feel good to get salary in bitcoin. because bitcoin will not be accepted instead of flat currency in many places.

this is both a good and a bad idea for me.

it could be a good idea a while back (2+ month ago) that i was actively buying bitcoin. back then i dedicated a part of my earning to buying bitcoin so receiving it as salary would have been good.

but i still need money so i can't receive all my salary as bitcoin, so maybe a part of it and since i no longer buy bitcoin because i have invested enough already i don't like the idea anymore.

Well for me i will choose bitcoin as my payment because its valuable than fiat.. and if i choose bitcoin there is still have a chance that you can make profit when the price of bitcoin will increase more..
