if earth was going to shit, then yeah. i mean who wouldnt right? that would suck, if there was some sort of meteor show on mars though right after people were sent to mars.

I think they meant that anything outer space is high above the surface of the earth.
They need to realize that when you are standing on Mars, the land area is so big that it feels and looks like you are on the ground. So, you do not have any heights.

Sure i would, when it's terraformed and a quite hospitable place for humans. So not right now.

We could live inside Mars. After all, isn't the moon really like the "Death Star" in Star Wars? Look at the picture, below. Isn't that big crater really the main communications/power dish? So, if the moon is hollow, like the Death Star, and if Mars isn't already hollow, couldn't we hollow it out and live inside?

Acctuly not becouse Mars is ugly planet and very dangerous. That could be changed through terraforming. In theory, a new atmosphere could be created by slowly introducing plants and water to Mars.
