Bitcoin is the king of all coins. Now we can see Bitcoin but the maximum price is rising. Many had speculated that Bitcoin would be within a million dollars by 2021But looking at the current situation, we can see that Bitcoin will definitely go within 1 million dollar.Believing the word I have often done 0.17BTC is holding. But today we have made a lot of profit from here.

Seeing other users that are up for the market cap and price of the coin just makes me smh. Jeez.
Why not invest to all of the coins out there if one is up for the price only? I have been a Bitcoiner since early 2017, and even if those other coins in the market went mainstream, I never zeroed my Bitcoins for something that would not even last overnight.

I can feel your pain, Even I sold the majority of my bitcoins prior bitcoin went to the moon around July 2017.

But feeling sad about it isn't going to do much and it's much better to think about new technology that's going to come in the future and invest in that, Whether it be some IT related company or Some Crypto related project, finding the potential in the project is necessary to make profit from it.
Investment opportunities are continous or limitless which means there would always be having that probability and its up to you whether you do make out decisions whether you do dive in or would skip out.

Its just really that hard to believe that Bitcoin would be surpassed after all the years we've been seeing in on the top then its hard to tell that it could be easily overtaken.

For now lets just cherish out that it is on the top and i agree on some points that nothing do last forever but it would surely stay for a while on the top rank.

Bitcoin is & always will be the number one. All of the others are centralised shitcoins or coins with a near infinie supply. Stop trying to be clever all the time, hoping to catch the next bitcoin.

You don’t have to own a full bitcoin, just stick to bitcoin.

Bitcoin has indeed proven to be the best in the crypto world, Bitcoin has always dominated the market and many projects have been created to beat
Bitcoin but all have failed. So only ignorant people think of getting out of Bitcoin, because Bitcoin will continue to rise in price and give us profit if we
collect Bitcoin and hold it in the long term. We really don't need to have 1 BTC to be able to feel the benefits of Bitcoin, so buy Bitcoin according to
our respective financial capabilities, that is enough for us to be able to benefit from Bitcoin. My advice is to stop thinking about leaving Bitcoin to invest
in other coins, if we really want to invest in other coins go ahead, but we don't need to leave Bitcoin. We can divide our capital in several coins,
but the most percentage should be in Bitcoin.

Well exactly and it will never happen that ETH will surpass bitcoin.
Look at Ethereum does not have even a fixed supply and I think the supply is undetermined by the market cap. I will always go with bitcoin and still have faith in it even though ETH will fly high. But why do we need to argue that matters, both of these have become a good asset and you can invest in both two of them? Remember that, --in most cases, altcoins prices will follow to bitcoin price in the market, how come they will have an opposite direction.

You don't need to urge them as it is clear to see that they don't know about Bitcoin and so Ethereum. That OP wanted to divert and trick our minds as it never happens that altcoins/shitcoins will surpass Bitcoin.

I think we have done with this discussion and we can't deny that these altcoins just exist because of Bitcoin and if Bitcoin will die, they will also be dead. Maybe I would quit investing ETH and put all of it into Bitcoin, which comes to reality.

I don't think ETH will ever surpass bitcoin, It might reach a close market cap but it's going to remain under which Bitcoin has.
It will never happen. Eth cannot surpass and overtake bitcoin. It's just that there are too many ETH holders thinking that they can see one day seeing it at top one.
The fee of it is even higher than BTC which was the opposite before. Waiting for the next upgrades that they'll deploy to its network unlike bitcoin, it's been calm and lesser fee these days.
You couldnt tell because everything would really be unpredictable and there's no way that we could really make out some conclusions on how this market do ends up because ETH is just ranked 2 and we've seen that

dominance back in the past is almost really close to each other which people on time had already presumed that probability but well its too early to say but we cant really remove that kind of possibility.

Everything matters with the demand in the end because lots of people do believe that bitcoin would be number 1 in more years to come.
It's bitcoin, if you doubt bitcoin, that's all on you. But for me, I don't doubt bitcoin and there have been a lot of attempts to dethrone it but none of the alts have won its throne.
These made-up situations are just going to make someone think and realize that they should've bought bitcoin long time ago and they shouldn't be focused on too much diversification.
Not that really against with diversification bt we know that this is something which is really recommended since we know on how this one could really be having some advantage but of course the risk would be always there.
Being optimistic towards bitcoin isnt really bad since it had been proven already in a decade that it is really something that really worth to be on the peak spot even though that nothing do last forever
but witnessing on the greatness that it had over all the years then i couldnt really blame off that you do have this kind of mindset.

Honestly speaking, what I have done with my portfolio is embarrassing. I have 70% of the bitcoin fund. The 30% is in USDT.From this 30%, I use 25% for trading, like buying some altcoins or shitcoins and then waiting for a pump before selling them. After selling the profit I gained from that trade, I took 50% in BTC and 50% in USDT. I don't divide my investment, I only divide the profit. And from 5%, I sometimes cash out for my expenses, max 2%, and from 3%, I try to do some experimental holding. And one thing: I don't have a huge amount of money and I don't need a lot of money for my expenses. Monthly, $200 is enough for me. I have $170 for family expenses, $5 is for my internet bill, and $25 is enough for my pocket money. Because as a student, it is my savings time, so I don't waste my hard-earned money on useless things and stuff. I just believe if I save money now to invest in BTF when I complete my studies, this would give me enough to live a happy life.

Whatever that meant, I suspect I ain't the only one who didn't understand what OP was struggling to say there. Perhaps, they could rephrase it.
His question is simple, if the ETH market capital surpasses BTCitcoin's he would consider the cryptocurrency space as a joke as everyone is after pump and dump coins rather than looking for decentralized coin like BTCitcoin.

He got a point in that aspect, the transaction fees for ETH is really high and some of the NFT projects uses ETH and everyone is paying $40 to $50 per transaction and yet the price of ETH is rallying which does not make any sense.

Talking about high transaction fees it seem there is no fixing that issue from the eth side anytime soon because till now the problem still persist and people are getting use to it, I guess the op has a reason for using that choice of word, I mean looking at it from this point of view, it will be hard not to get pissed with eth unending high transaction issues.

I think that there is always a possibility that some sort of coin could take over bitcoins dominance.  Now that coin is not going to be ethereum because they are not competitors.  Ethereum is a smart contract coin where bitcoin is not, so there competitor would be something more like litecoin. I think everyone should prepare for that being a possibility one day, but as of right now, there is definitely no competitor in that manner.

I wouldn't quit on Bitcoin because, to be honest, I don't just see it as an investment that is just good for a short-term goal but I see it as a long-term asset and as a currency that could change our lives in the future. However, I don't think disregarding ETH's capability would be fair. Ethereum is a good currency and it's also worth holding.

Leave no FUD unchallenged
For all the people commenting that they don't think ETH is a shitcoin, I can understand why judging the coin on its present status might lead you to think that.  But consider that perhaps you haven't been around long enough to understand why some people, quite legitimately, feel that there is a strong argument to be made to call it a shitcoin.  Most of you probably weren't around to witness the sheer farce some of us saw.

Just pop "ETH DAO hack" into your search engine of choice.  Recognise that a central entity had to intervene to "resolve" the situation (or make it worse, depending on your interpretation) and then maybe you'd be able to appreciate, from that point forward, why many people still consider it to be a failure.  It didn't live up to the standards that people came to expect of a decentralised network.  Some people will never forgive that.

I can't argue that their recovery from that shambles has been impressive, but it still leaves a bad taste how things were handled.

What is your reason for holding Bitcoin? For me there’s no quitting and the chances of Etherum surpassing Bitcoin is really slim.

There is a lot of shilling lately (again) with "the flippening" event happening. Ethereum has created a new market which is basically 99% scam tokens, rugpulls, pump and dumps and NFTs which are probably used for money laundering. Anyway, the thing is, there is definitely if a demand for all of that, even if it's all based on a platform that's not decentralized.

So to the point: Would you quit if a centralized shitcoin managed to surpass Bitcoin in marketcap? At that point it would be clear that entire space is a joke. Bitcoin would still march on as usual, but it would be just sad to see people putting their money on shitcoins rather than on the only actually decentralized blockchain worth anything.
I will not give up my BTC because even if atlcoin or ETH surpasses BTC it is just hype and BTC is long term and lower risk than many other coins this confirmed the price BTC today made a new ATH which is 66k$ this is really great for me and I believe in the future BTC will be a leading coin and never another coin will surpass it.

The first thing I need to make clear is that ETH is not a shitcoin, it has utility and is used by a lot of other projects as a development platform, ETH is really cool. Second, whether ETH or another altcoin surpasses Bitcoin, I will still use it. Bitcoin has always had a big influence on the crypto market and has a very popular support community. I believe that in the near future, it will be difficult for an altcoin to surpass Bitcoin

ETH isn't shitcoin, it's second only to bitcoin. If you say it is shitcoin there will never be a chance to surpass bitcoin. How can a shitcoin survive and replace the king? In the past 12 years, many shitcoins have been created and claimed to replace bitcoin but we have yet to see a single shitcoin that does it instead bitcoin is being accepted in many countries and becoming legal tender. This is something that even ETH has not been able to achieve, so there is no reason that shitcoin will overtake bitcoin in the future.
