1. You can buy friends, just as you can buy women.

But really, neither. I like the way things are: no money and no friends Cheesy

wait if you have all the money in the world then money would be useless

because if you spend any money you would get it back so society would rule money as useless and they would move on

. . . or completely loose their minds and riot.

As long as I get to keep 1 friend and my wife, option 1. If not, option 2.

I think option 1 is your alone meaning no friend or wife. lol.

Forever alone but have money = spend money on bitches.

Sadly, I wouldn't give up my wife and my friends for all the money in the world. I'll choose option 2 then Smiley

Oh this is an economics brain teaser isn't it?

If you have all the money in the world then by the theory of economic velocity it would be worth nothing, thus it would be quite a paradox to have all the "money" in the world, because it would be rather worthless.

However, if you had all the friends in the world, then you wouldn't need money, because your friendship with every human being on the planet could be a dividend you could draw on the rest of your life.

For instance, if you had friends with yachts, houses, spare cars, you could utilize all these things in exchange for your friendship.  Ownership therefore would be rendered pointless because you would have no wants or needs, because the rest of the world has free flowing capital (because you chose option 2, therefore the world economy gets to continue, and you could be friends with any and all of them, raising your quality of life) you are able to prosper as well.

What do I win?

Money's a means to living a better life. It shouldn't take precedence over living a good life. What's the value of money when there are no friends to enjoy life with?

That makes sense.

Rich people never have friends.  Because their "friends" are fake and toxic.  I've know my share of toxic garbage. Just cut them out of your life and never see them again. They are parasites. Who needs that?  They'll eventually self-destruct when there's no host to leech off.  Focus on your family. Wife/GF. Bothers. Sisters. Mothers. Fathers. Uncles. Aunts. Cousins. And the old fellas. Family above all. They are in it for your best interest.  Never deal with anyone without contracts and lawyers present. Document EVERYTHING. And remain mysterious. They are just an acquaintance. Not your friends.

Rich or poor they all deserve the same respect.   All are equal.  When you deflate your ego and emphasize, rich or poor, the world will love you. That's charisma I guess.  Some have it, some don't.  You know it when you see it.

Having to choose between those two options is silly. Who says you can't have both?

When you have enough money to live comfortably for the rest of your life, it's time to prioritize.  Just don't get addicted to anything. That sure can take you off course.  Need 100% focus.

Life's a test, don't fail it.

You can certainly buy their company, for a time, but they'll never be your friends; at least not in any meaningful sense of the word friend. They're there just so they can get at your money, and once that ends, so does their interest in you. Tongue

It's funny I feel like you can pick either option and still so the "right" thing if that's what you're after. Like the guy above said that's a good answer, take the money and spend it to help others. Or don't worry about money and you'll have friends and always be there for them, totally selfless.

This question is unanswerable. If you had all the friends possible om the world, or seven billion people, out of those seven billion would at least have some type of wealth. And having all of the money in the world and living forever alone is different. You can still 'achieve' friendship with somebody.
