Are there any pay roll services for bitcoin and ETH?  As a Blockchain developer or professional would you be happy to get paid in a cryptocurrency?  Sure with smart contracts - an ethereum based app is ideal for the gig economy?

I think you can bargain on what payment you want to get in terms of services you rendered to a company. But personally, I like to be paid in bitcoins because simply I'm a bitcoin guy. Sure there are ethereum enthusiast as well, but they are outnumbered here so I assumed that most of us wants to be paid in bitcoin. I have nothing with ethereum, its just that we love to see our wallets filled with bitcoins because its easy for me to transact with it as compare to ethereum.

You dont have to look to those payroll services that are now involve with crypto. Its been around for all the time here in forum. And a crypto believer why I will against to get paid with bitcoin or ETH? Thats easy for me, I will have bitcoin instead of buying it. That way is better distribution of receiving salary.

I use Ethereum because  bitcoin fee is too high for me.I prefer to be paid in ethereum.

I think for me I will accept both payments because both of them are good for long term investment, even though fee are high if the price of Bitcoin or Ethereum increases you can recover your loses there.

Are there any pay roll services for bitcoin and ETH?

I find this article interesting https://risepeople.com/blog/why-some-companies-pay-employees-in-bitcoin/ and yes there are so many employees now that are paid with bitcoin, eth and other crpyto so you should know that now mate.

As a Blockchain developer or professional would you be happy to get paid in a cryptocurrency?

Yes, of course as I'm embracing bitcoin now and it's one of the privilege that I'm going to have as a professional or just a simple office worker. I don't have to buy bitcoin so it helps me to save a lot of time.

Sure with smart contracts - an ethereum based app is ideal for the gig economy?

I'm not a fan of ETH / smart contracts.

Thanks Blockman!!

Don't mention it man, I think you are still not that broad in terms of knowing those companies that are paying bitcoin or eth to their employees. And to follow with the discussion there are people out there that chose to get paid in ETH only. I won't blame them for choosing ETH since bitcoin fees are sometimes too high and there's a delay in the confirmation of transactions. But to support that, fees are lowered again and I'll still stay with bitcoin salary/payment.

Sometimes I also want to get paid with Ethereum as it's fee is cheaper than bitcoin and even faster than it. But sometimes I'm lazy of exchanging that to bitcoin if I'm in need so that's why I only prefer to get paid with bitcoin now. And for the payroll services, there's nothing really specific with the payroll system or service out there. Most of the payments are getting paid directly to the workers by their employers.

BTC price road to $80k
I think thats really depend on different factors. For now Im having enough holding of bitcoin and I would love to get paid in terms of Ether if I’m getting one job for that. The reason is very simple for me, for the same amount of salary I could stack up more ether coin as compared to bitcoin. If you look from eh perspective of one coin in the future then I will get more profits from the ethreum if it gets hiked. That would be good strategy to apply for getting more profits in the future. Also, getting paid in bitcoin would be expensive as it does not hike that much faster as an alt coin would do.

I don't think ethereum could increase more and replace bitcoin since bitcoin was already use by many merchant as mode of payment and only few market places accepted ethereum unlike bitcoin there are lots of  stores only are accepting it and getting more popularity  that i think more people right now are slowly knows about bitcoin.
So for me if someone would like to deal with me i will stay accept bitcoin as payment mode than ethereum..

I would like to have some source of income in ETH. I wouldn't quit with bitcoin ever, but why not to earn some ETH if its possible. I missed chance with ETH year ago when I could buy it under 10$, but its not late to get into ETH now, I think often about ETH beside many other alts, and question I ask myself can ETH go to 1000$ or more. I think it can, and that's why I would like to have some ETH now while its time.
Do anyone knows how can we earn ETH? Is there some good way for that or the best is to buy some?

I've been with bitcoin for three years so it's hard for me to move on from bitcoin
I know ETH because Microsoft mentioned it and other ICO start using MEW recently. Also as I know , ETH beat LTC popularity but it's still difficult to understand it's mechanism

I prefer to get paid in ETH. The customer will save transaction fees and money will be released in a shorter period of time. Also, since I'm heavily investing on tokens on etherdelta, it will be nice since I would be able to get extra ETH income and not converting BTC to ETH and then deposit on etherdelta.

Agree. There are several ICOs who's trying to implement ethereum apps on micro job/freelancing sites. One example that I know is Blocklancer.

Where are blockchain programmers currently finding work? Anyone used any of these Ethereum based freelancing apps? Blocklancer etc

If you truly are a DAPPS programmer. You can become the Boss. No need to allow yourself to be exploited by stingy freelance employers.

There are perhaps some who would like to be paid in Eth ot Bitcoin but unless you can convert into fiat then you cannot pay your bills as supermarkets, banks and government departments do not accept such methods. There is a long way to go before all workers could be paid in any crypto.

What makes you think that we care about the brick and mortar establishments which you just mentioned. We have ways to buy using our crypto. Not all people thinks in terms of point of sales. That's the era of the dinosaurs. We can demand the crypto that we want  from employers because there is a huge shortage of IT talents in the US and the world in general. You don't want to pay me in crypto. Go get yourself a decent programmer. And they will never find any. Because all the talented  programmers know that they can become the boss through ICO and crowdfunding. No need for Venture Capitalist. Programmers can become CEO's overnight.

Since I am a programmer I would prefer to earn Ether. Or get paid in ether and create my web application using solidity filecoin and IPFS. And earn more.

So for you, would the biggest disincentive be to use a service like this be the payroll charges that the provider or company might charge?

I'm not a blockchain developer not a sort of professional, I live normally and there are some businesses that I've got while working in a business that is requiring me to work 8 hours a day.

And the same thing with those people that want to get paid bitcoin I would volunteer to say to my employer that they can pay me through bitcoin, I want it to happen but even I'll demand they have no idea what bitcoin is.

People on xbtfreelancer.com are employed and getting paid with bitcoin.
