This dead cat has already bounced to $420. It will bounce or jump further. The height is not in sight yet.

Man, I should start a dead cat ball factory

Those bounces defy all known laws of physics

Drop from 10 meters and it jumps up 200 meters. Now that's some funny bounces.

Any kickstarter investors who want to help me start up this dead cat ball factory?

I'll let you in on the profit. Kids will love it, guaranteed.

Like i said previously; this is not a dead cat bounce, but still, judging by how high we are jumping with price in a very small time range, i wouldn't be
too optimistic that the trend will continue at this same rate. I just sold some at 370 and am waiting to rebuy at 320-330 range. I know bitcoin will keep
going up in price, but when it shakes weak hands next time - that's my re-buy position  Wink

You really believe that we will drop to $320? I don't know mate, the way this thing got going, we might be at $500 in no time. I don't have balls to short this this time around!

Something is pushing it up like crazy and I would like to know what this something is exactly!

I understand a dead cat bounce is the small rise after a huge sudden crash. This is nothing at all like a dead cat bounce

i always thought that a dead cat bounce is a return to the previous point after a pump, basically a sum zero movement

bu we are in a better position than before now, so yes this is a price correction and a possible consolidation on the new value

By Wikipedia:

In finance, a dead cat bounce is a small, brief recovery in the price of a declining stock.[1] Derived from the idea that "even a dead cat will bounce if it falls from a great height",[2] the phrase, which originated on Wall Street, is also popularly applied to any case where a subject experiences a brief resurgence during or following a severe decline.

So basically a small price rise(s) during the general down-trend.

No cat will bounce back to the level of the roof it was dropped from.

Yes same here, selling into this at 370, 400, 430 looking to replace cheaper early next year. Hopefully.

330 was well overbought short term, a healthy pullback to support at 315 and uptrend resumes.
Give me a shout when you finally decide to take a massive loss on your shorts around 360/370 and I'll sell you a little of my ~238 average long.

So much for you dead cat bounce theory. Right now at 335, the bitcoin price seems to continue the rally seen since last week and I expect to see it going up further higher and maintain this momentum. There is also a high possibility for a breakthrough to take place and with a new support level being established very soon.

"Many" mustn't have quite got a handle on this new-fangled intertoobz thing called "Search Engines". Smiley

Doesnt look like Kwuks usage of the term at all to me.   He calls *any down movement after an up, a DCB.

Floor is $220 as usual.

I consider as a floor now $300 and i don't think that the price will go below that.
The bitcoin price in Exchanges are moving now and currently $340+
Many are asking what a dead cat bounce is, anybody can explain in detail.

KwukDuck isnt bothered by silly things like "definitions"..  They would just be "What other people think it means".

He just has a "Boys coloring book of stock market terminology", and he reads random phrases out of the "bad words" section.

He reminds me of one of those stuffed toys, with a ring-on-a-string out the back that you pull and it says a randomly chosen phrase.

Pump/Dump, Dead Cat, Bag Holders, Ponzi Scheme, Bull-tard, Scam-Troll, PermaBull, Prepare-for-Drop, yada yada.
Just look at his post history.. https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/kwukduck-654

The only thing hes good for is laughing at.  Unless you believe in the contrarian indicator theory, in which case you *might improve your odds by doing the *opposite of what he says.. Smiley

Who would have thought that.
Any reason for this? I'm guessing there was no reason for it to go up in the first place. In other words pump and dump

I can't really say that this is the definition of a dead cat bounce, the ball has been falling for almost 9 months so it has the indications of a recovery in my own speculative analysis.

But to appease the bear in me, as with most rallys a Ponzi scheme such as MMM would be a consideration.

Mods, why is this thread still here? Why is he still allowed to post?

sue, he has a different opinion, but is that reason to ban him?

just ignore him and move on.

I don't like him either, but i dont want mods to ban him just because he has a different opinion.

Also, how's your "dead cat" now kwuk?
