If usage is high, you will pay $50 fee!!!  This system isn't right.  Bitcoin is broken.  Lightning is still 3 years away.

nah, it is not broken...you are spreading fud. don't worry, your $hitcoin will not threaten btc ever. you are even trying to jack up the difficulty every time there is a switch, but btc is still on top, and it will remain there...

The number of unconfirmed transactions and BTC fees amount have come down drastically by now! Don't quote figures from a few months/weeks ago which are no longer relevant. See for yourself how fast transactions are being confirmed now:

I checked the last block which was mined (Block #509796) and the minimum fee paid was 2.77 sat/Byte. This represents a fee of around BTC0.000005 ($0.05) for an average sized transaction. We can't ask for an even lower fee, can we?

Can any of you dummies who refuse to do any research for yourself take notice to this users post...please?  Stop supporting the FUD if you're a believer in BTC.

The question is, how would Bitcoin Cash address the same issue if it ever got to the same value and usage as Bitcoin currently has?

not so significant as it seems, Bitcoin cash has not been as bitcoin in solving the problem. this is just my opinion, there may be more views of me

Fees are getting lower in the last month.
Yeah, the fees used to be $45 per Bitcoin transaction.  Thank God they are only $2 now.  Wait a minute - shouldn't they only be about $ .02?

If that happens, that will be a huuuuuge relief. Maybe, having too many ICOs around contributes to the decrease of the fees.

Do you see this incident first?? About 1 month ago, the fees were almost 20$-30$.
This is the latest issue of Bitcoin. There must be unity in eliminating this problem. Those who are looking at the technical aspect of Bitcoin, if they are kind, then it is possible to remove this problem.

either until now there has been no correction about this, but many have complained about the amount of fee on bitcoin.
I don't kno why most of you are complaining about the transaction fees currently but i know for a certain that i have been paying less than $1 just to confirm my transactions.

Like I just posted..
Fees heading towards all time lows- https://blockchain.info/charts/transaction-fees.

People clearly are reading headlines and arguing but with out actually reading the article ...so to speak.

OP is all about spreading FUD against Bitcoin.  Don't be fooled.  There is much to be excited about with Bitcoin.  The Lighting Network has been implemented and already starting to do an amazing job. Soon the network will be up and running the L.N. as well as everyone's wallets will be adding the technology.

Fees heading towards all time lows- https://blockchain.info/charts/transaction-fees

Hash Rate- https://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate

More about the Lighting Network in an easy to read first class write up- https://medium.com/@melik_87377/lightning-network-enables-unicast-transactions-in-bitcoin-lightning-is-bitcoins-tcp-ip-stack-8ec1d42c14f5

Do your homework users and don't believe the FUD.  Also- if anyone is complaining about "super high fees" ..you've clearly not made a transaction of late.  That's like reading a headline of an article, but not the article itself , and debating it until you're blue in the face.

you cannot compare two different network fees with each other , each coin have different speciality Bitcoin is king and Bitcoin cash is branch of Bitcoin itself. Current rate of transfer bitcoins from one wallet to another wallet is less than 11 sat per byte. As per calculation Fees is only 1% per 100$ which is very less seems
i agree different coins have different uses and user base and as far as I know what also forces these fees to raise is increased demand for the mining services which results in miners priotising transactions with high fees and leaving a backlog of low TX fees but currently bitcoin fees are not as high as thet were a few months back.

yes,to buy 1 Bitcoin we need a big expense because the price is very expensive different with altcoins other prices of altcoins other than Bitcoin, and Of course bitcoin has the cost of shipping is very expensive because the price of bitcoin is high and the density of transactions of the bitcoin to try bitcoin price fell to a price of £ 10 / Bitcoin (bitcoin) for which the price must be very small.

yea it's too much for us
Too much? On https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ its 120 sats/byte so it is not that really much unlike before that its more than 500 sats/byte and you have to pay for more than 0.001+BTC per TX.
Hey that 2$ is not so bad if we see 200$ transaction fee soon Smiley
Yeah its very low when someone transact with higher amount.
