Well, I'd prefer the disk as well, but I could be convinced otherwise.

Let me know how much you want for it.

The key should be included when you register it on Origin.  I assume you have the key from the CD case?
he probably registered it on origin, so it's tied to his account. you can change the account name at anytime, though.

That still doesn't solve my problem of needing a BF3 key that works in the US.

I can confirm a russian CD key will work. I purchased a Russian CD key with BTC. I updated language files and I am playing online just fine. Game is so awesome by the way, cant believe I played COD for so long..

How about 4 BTC and I'll give you origin details and put the disks in the mail?

I think you need to buy a "Battlefield Key" or what ever they call it to play online. That's the way it works with PS3 and X360, I imagine it's the same for PC. Another way for them to make more money for glitchy half developed games.

It's the only game I've ever registered with origin so I suppose I could just transfer the account? Anyone know?

You want just the account or want me to mail disk to you also?

If it is simple as a transfer of the account details, a few bitcoin?

Hmm, well, I guess you could transfer the origin account, but I'm not sure what the rules are on that.  How much do you want for it?

Ive got a US version (purchased).. I've played it solo and have no intentions of playing online due to my current connection. I registered it at origin. I am no gamer so not sure exactly what you need or if you can use this one?

I'm done with it, the single player was pretty quick.

If it were for me, yeah I could probably deal with that.  But it's for a 12 year old that doesn't have much background computer wise... yeah, I know, I'm contributing to the corruption of todays youth and breeding a serial killer, but we all have our hobbies.

Yeah, a regular US key seems to be the way to go.

If you are buying the game for someone else, yes. I purchased from gamerkeys and although VPN is not necessary it is a bit of a hassle to get running. You'll have to download the English language pack, US library and make a few registry changes to get it working. You'll have to repeat with each update as well. I'm a cheap bastard and it was worth it for me, but it would be quite a shitty burden to tie on to a gift for a friend. EA had US BF3 keys on sale for $25 a few weeks ago, I'm sure they'll do it again at some point.

So I can use that key without any special hoops that I have to jump through?  Just activate it on my current Origin account?

No you can't, get a North American code..

yes, but you'll need a patch so it has English.
