Honestly baffled as to why people didn't get on this when they had the chance.
Probably following:
- not knowing this is possible
- not feeling this is important
- negligence (as in my case)
I think whether you fancy to have the chain yourself or not, it is better to have it, at least because that could make the price of the coin slightly higher. As the time will go on, years will pass, there would be plenty of time for scammers to create great-looking fakes and having properly signed docs could became more and more valuable.
I don't think Casascius have yet explicitly said that he is not signing anymore so perhaps it's not completely lost yet? I wouldn't expect him to do it until the end of his life, but it would be great if he can at least give a warning that it's going to end at some specific date. I'm thinking about creating another topic here dedicated just to PGP docs where we could count how many people are interested and perhaps we could find someone who knows Mike and can talk with him about it - to just do it one last time
