I made a simple frontend from scratch back then. However, im out of bitcoin solomining for some time now. The post was back in 2012.

By now there are plenty of frontends, just check github. I believe wizstats for eloipool is also still maintained. https://github.com/wizkid057/wizstats

You might also have a look on this repo https://github.com/zone117x/node-open-mining-portal , have it running with node 0.10.24 and npm 1.4.6, it has mpos compability and an inbuild stats site.

Regards,
newbie

Still have no stats display for either eloi or ecoin pool.
Ecoinpool has a build in frontend which of course could be a basis.

All i require is stats of the pool to display at a website.

wizstats as linked is the frontend eligius has right now http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/, at least the index.php looks the same, may i miss something`??.
Guess artefact2 is the old frontend from eligius?? Heres a link btw, dont know if it was the correct one https://github.com/omes/eligius-stats.

I dont plan to have a public pool yet, but indeed i want to display statistics for me and pool users

Right now i try to find the best option to archiv that, ecoinpool has build in frontend but currently a error others facing too and most probably will not be resolved soon. Poolserverj the other option has the simplecoin template what most probably would work but as you mentioned all the bugs an security flaws and additional required time to setup poolj.

So it still seems the best option for me is the eloipool with a simple stats disply like the 2 existing templates.

Wizstats isn't a front end and Simplecoin never worked quite right to begin with and was full of security holes.  There's a reason people aren't using it or if there is a pool or two still using it, it's so modified from it's original form as to be almost unrecognizable.

As I said, if you want a proper front end, you will have to write it yourself or be prepared to spend a lot of money.

I just want to get this one to work, from there it might be not that difficult for me.
Its just kind of difficult to edit something that does not work, so i cant understand how its working.

Sure, if you've got about 5000 BTC lying around you aren't using.  Other than that, it's probably not going to happen.  All of the working, quality front ends are custom programming.

CGMiner will have support for GBT. Or so I am told at any rate.

(( link to thread )) If you need a server with stratum mining protocol support, using eloipool could potentially cause trouble.

The main eloipool dev prefers GBT and there are no plans to support stratum. As such, your pool users will be locked into using BFGMiner (( developed by the eloipool developer )) or other GBT-type mining software...

Not a guaranteed problem though, because that will only be an issue if your pool needs anything more efficient than getwork. In THAT usage case, eloipool potentially could be an issue. (( when ASICs are rolled out by individual miners and farms, slower / low-spec pool servers giving out shares via legacy getwork protocol won't be able to keep up easily ))
