Still looking for this. I either would like someone to purchase me the above model (changed slightly from the original I posted) or provide me with the Amazon gift voucher (or any other place I may be able to buy this phone) but am looking for a decent discount if paying in btc (I can also pay with Paypal or a mix of both). It needs to be the unlocked GSM version. I can either have it shipped directly to me in the UK or a friends address in Michigan who will then post it on to me. PM me with any offers. Thanks.

Bump. Still looking for this.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KNEE7S4/sr=8-1/qid=1409224626/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&qid=1409224626&sr=8-1

This can be purchased for $600 (£360) on Amazon if somebody could help me out with buying one or sell me Amazon vouchers at a discount. I've got a mate who is going to the States in a few days so I might see if I can get him to get me one and bring it back which will hopefully bypass any customs charges. Does anyone know of a cheaper place than Amazon in America to get this?

If not I might just buy a used A-grade / Mint condition 16gb one from Cex for £375, though I'd rather have a brand new 32gb one, but at least I can use my credit notes and pay the difference in bitcoins as they accept them.

just checked newegg for you, and they don't seem to carry the m8. too bad though, since newegg is offering a $150 off $500 bitcoin discount in a few days, and if your buddy is going to a state that is not getting taxed.. then that's by far the best deal you could get.

looks like newegg does carry the m8, but it's not in stock.. too bad for you m8, you could have had it for $581 - $150 and no tax unless your friend is going to CA/NY

Well you can always find them cheaper on eBay, but that particular listing wouldn't be cheaper anyway as it will cost me $18.23 in shipping and $122.73 in import charges, so that's $140 on top of the stated price.

Looks like the red version carries a premium, this is the cheapest one I see on ebay:

Didn't see any locally.

They're shipped from a UK seller with Royal Mail, though I do not know whether it's the 'second rate Asia model'. What's the difference between them? You can also get them from the States for a similar price. Been out a while over there.
The rumor relating to Asian models having swapped out components for lesser components is what I Was referring to - no idea if this is true or not.

I would be careful at such a dramatic discount mate was just my point Smiley

I have heard that rumour as well, though I'm sure it's exaggerated, though I don't doubt it happens, but thanks for the warning and I'll definitely take it into consideration. I've got a friend off to the States soon so I might ask him to try pick me one up. You can get the 32gb model on Amazon for under $600 which is less than £360.

So when you say you can get it for £400 - you mean the second rate eBay Asia model -- which will also likely come with import duty.

£400 seems very 'cheap' for this mate.

It's refurbished, not the colour I want, and I'd have to pay over $100 in import taxes plus the $20 shipping as well.

Ebay. You can get some shipped from Asia that are even cheaper as well but I don't really trust them (even though they've got lots of good feedback).

i know in southeast asia, people don't like to buy their own domestic electronics because they say the OEM parts are switched out for second-rate stuff. so yeah, i don't trust getting my shit from asian countries.

No, we have them, but I don't like them either. They're a waste of money for me because I hardly ever call anyone and I can send free texts via what's app etc. This phone costs either £600 to buy on pay as you go over here on my network or the contract is £40 a month.

Hey hilariousandco, I'd give snapcard a try. It's the place where I purchased my past two phones from. Including my latest iPhone 5S. Here's the phone from Amazon for $539,
http://www.amazon.com/HTC-Android-Factory-Unlocked-Shipping/dp/B00F61CTG6/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1407177771&sr=8-10&keywords=HTC+One+M8+red

Thanks for the suggestion, but if I order from the American Amazon seller I'll more than likely get hit with massive customs fees, that's if they even ship to the UK.

do you guys not have phone contracts? if so, i'd say you guys do it better m8. i hate contracts, they are designed to keep you locked with your shitty carrier.

That's true, hopefully the site comes in handy for you in the future.

Ah, it is. I can't find a Red M8 anywhere.
