Hey Took,

In my experience buying used iPhones is a minefield. The main problems with the 5 is obviously the screen and battery. For how much the new ones cost I'd recommend buying a new one from a store with warranty because if you get a dodgy used one the cost keeping it working well will soon outweigh the cost of a new one.

My wife and daughter have iPhone 5's and they've both been problematic.

Thanks hedgy73 Smiley

I chose to follow your advice, I will go to the store and buy a new one.

Thank you to all who showed interest and made offers.

There are quite a lot of decent listings on eBay for a used iPhone 5 in good condition.
I found a boxed one that is in Grade A condition and comes boxes with a 12 month warranty from the seller that costs about 1.2 BTC. (There are still plenty better deals than that).
I'm just saying that you can probably find something better on eBay then most the deals you'll get here.

P.S I would sell you my iPhone 5S but I'm not due for a while still Sad

Thanks AT Smiley can you send me a link?

What is that Grade A, I think I recall seeing a show with a guy who was trading used phone, they grade them right in order for making trades more easy (similar to grading coins), right?

Maybe try this, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-iPhone-5-16GB-White-Silver-AT-T-Smartphone-MD635LL-A-/262040671953?hash=item3d02d756d1

He is selling it for cheap too. Smiley

Still looking, prefer to pay with bitcoins.

I'm willing to buy the iPhone for you on eBay using my credit card for 1:1 if we use escrow.

Thank you for the offer, I appreciate it.

At this point am I looking for someone who got an actual phone in hand and ready to ship.

Have a nice day.

I agree with AT, eBay is probably the way to go. And Took, if you find a good iPhone for a good price on the US eBay site, you can use gyft.com to buy an eBay gift card with BTC, or you can send me the BTC and I can order it and ship it to you for cheap. Just let me know if I can help you out in anyway man.

That is a great offer, thanks. I will write you a PM if I need your help.
I have been looking at the UK ebay, there are some pretty good deals, only regret is that paying with BTC on ebay is not an option  Cry

Man, I miss my old iPhone 5; one of the best phones I ever had! But, the only bad thing about iPhones (in my opinion) happened to mine, which is the battery dies and you can't just pop the old one out and put a new battery in easily like you could with other phones. There is a guy that runs an iPhone repair shop in my town, I need to get a quote from him sometime for fixing it. I have a lot of important info. and pictures of my daughter, and pics of my son when he was just days old on that phone, among other things like a lot of good music.

Anyways, some things that might actually help you with your search to buy a used iPhone 5 with BTC: you can buy eBay gift cards in increments of $5 from www.gyft.com , and you get 3x reward points back for every dollar spent using BTC. Or, you could probably buy it used through Amazon via www.purse.io with BTC. And, you could check www.dutyfreedigital.com (formerly Coins4Tech) and/or possibly message them to see if they could get you a nice used phone for a good price.

Hope some of those help and that all is well with you Took.

Iphone 5? Nobody got one for sales? There should be many of these lying around? If the price I am offering is too low, then please let me know.
I am still looking for one.

Thanks Smiley

1 btc should be more than enough for an iPhone 5.

for a 5 16gb may be enough.

however it's not for me.... when you max out your storage because you recorded too many videos and photos of fun events, you'll get really pissed about the 16gb.

currently i have a 16gb iphone 6. when i get the 6s i sure as hell will get the 128gb version. especially now that it suppoers 4k videos

16GB is enough as long as you don't use it too much for photos or have icloud space to upload and delete from the phone.
