Its not country related problem, im from european union. I think i didnt finished registration cometly when i made my account, but its strange i was still able to trade perectly.

I had to send my face photo with ID an date and "bittrex" sign on paper. I manage to sort thing out basically in minutes via instant chat on ther website.

I also open ticket, but didnt got any reply to today.

As far as my problems i think their service is OK, problem was solved fast, but dont really got the answer whats was wrong in the first place.

Im glad now everything is ok

i havent loged in for few months...

after reading your post I've been logging into my account and everything is fine. I have not logged into my account for more than 6 months and my account is verified and from what I have seen it has not been blocked. so I think the reason your account has been blocked should be related to your country or the documents you have submitted to verify your account

Probably this might be the reason behind all this. From last year Bittrex was strongly forcing users to pass KYC and i remember they disabled accounts from some specific banned countries. It seems that they did it again and you are one of them from banned country, it is really unethical and nonprofessional that they disabled account without any prior notice.

I think that is happening for new users who join in the bittrex because I don't see any problem with the old user's account who register on bittrex in the past.
Maybe they need to protect from the illegal, and they need to make sure that their members are not related to the illegal thing, and they do that for many members.
I am glad that the OP has already solved his problem and for the other, it is better to do verification if you still want to trade in bittrex.

Are they really doing the same shitty account disabling like they've done in the end of 2017 with legacy accounts?
@OP are you perhaps from Iran or some other middle eastern country?

Them locking up accounts like this is insane, force it upon all or dont.
Relax, I'm certain that most people with a functional account there don't agree with you.  Cheesy

---

From what I have noticed, Bittrex is very strict when it comes to how people use their account. If you for example deposit funds well above what you usually deposit in value, they can and quite often do freeze your account and ask for bills, source of funds, etc as evidence. Similar to what LBC has subjected its users to.

yea  i manage to sort thing out...i had to send my face photos from all side with my ID and a"bittrex" papper Smiley apperanty i havent verified my account OK when i made it...Dont reall y know if thats true, but right now they activated it and its working fine, thanks god Smiley
I'm happy that everything is sorted out, but didn't they explain what the problem was? How will you be able to know what not to do the next time?

I think they only did it to secure your account since like you said you have been out for a few months so maybe they are securing the accounts who doesn't completed the KYC and activated the 2FA ,
And they would activate your account once they have verified that you are the real owner at least we know that they are doing a great job on securing the accounts on their platform .
Maybe they are just doing it to avoid having a hack issue like what happen in binance but we should always remember to keep our crypto on a wallet that we have full control.

Them locking up accounts like this is insane, force it upon all or dont.
They are not the first exchange to spring unannounced KYC requirements on their customers, and they won't be the last. It is thoroughly untrustworthy behavior to suddenly lock users out of deposit/trading/withdrawing, and essentially hold their coins ransom unless they agree to whatever ridiculous and invasive KYC requirements they want.

Banks as shitty as they are have a strict set of rules that you should follow, else their bank accounts will be terminated.
This is true, but if a bank decided that you suddenly had to upload selfies, pictures of your passport and driver's license, tell them your job, income, net worth, source of any additional income, any other accounts you hold, and all the other invasive nonsense some exchanges have started requesting, then there would be a minimum 30 day warning so that customers could rightly switch providers without penalty. No bank under the sun would get away with "We have seized your money unless you do what we say".

However, I do not like the manner in which they are forcing KYC down our throats.
I can understand that, but exchanges looking to comply with regulations are paranoid because they don't want to lose their banking relations. Bittrex not that long ago enabled USD fiat trading, and they don't want to lose it.

Banks as shitty as they are have a strict set of rules that you should follow, else their bank accounts will be terminated. It's not for nothing that US traders aren't allowed to trade IEO tokens.

If decentralized exchanges were a thing I would say dump centralized exchanges, but there is no alternative that offers enough convenience and liquidity. I use a local exchanging service now, much friendlier and less demanding.

I just checked and login to my account and my account is fine and not disabled. I guess Bittrex only targeting some people? Because my account there is not have coins left in my wallet.

A bit shaddy though, it's better to move your coins from there.

Shady? I don't think so. They are basically cleaning up their system and enhancing their security measures after the recent Binance hack which is great. I received an email from them asking me to submit KYC which I did not complete yet.

However, I do not like the manner in which they are forcing KYC down our throats.

I'm not disabled, but I don't keep any funds there. I have seen so many times people lose their money on various exchanges for this and that reason. So, no not on Bittrex not on any other exchange. I won't leave any money there I am not willing to lose. Stay safe people, and yes this forcing of enhanced verification is a lame move from Bittrex. DEX's where are you? We need you now more than ever.

We can only say they are targeting people if there are a lot of traders here giving feed back about their account getting lock.
Thus far, OP is the first person I know that complains about the problem, we are not sure what really happen, it could be some violation on his part but I cannot judge since he does not point any violation, but he would know based on the reply of the support.

I'm worried now, I will check my account later.

Mate, do you received any message from the exchange? I thought they are legit, so they should give you the reason for their action.

Edit : just want to inform my account is okay.   Grin

Best thing you can really do at this point is comply to the KYC they're asking for and just leave the site. Bittrex is likely not going to let you access your account unless you do the verification they're asking for, and if it's a trivial amount of money, might be best to just leave the account disabled if you don't want to submit more documents to 'em. Sad that they completely locked you out with no option to withdraw at all, but it seems exchanges are starting to tighten up KYC recently.

Can't hurt to ask the site support if you can just withdraw the rest of your funds to a wallet you control, though.

wtf is going on with Bittrex...they disabled my account!! i have verified account with driverlicence and my photo and it got verified, thats seems OK....
As im looking on web im not alone in this cas, it seems there are lots of those who got disabled. Angry Angry

You think the reason is because of lack of my trading during bear season? i havent loged in for few months, and now i loged in , try to make a trade and
a mesagge popup that account is disabled  Huh Huh Huh

What to do? please help me!

Thank you guys alot...thanks

hope i get some help that i can manage to trade or at least withdraw my money  Cry Cry

Your not the only one who faced that issues mate, they may disabled your account because probably, you didn't submit a complete KYC to their platform. Even you activate your 2FA into bittrex that won't be accepted to them. Because if you comply to submit KYC to bittrex they won't disabled your account for sure. Your only choice is to create another new one account on Bittrex if you like to use their platform, even you send a message to their support email contact they won't response on you for sure.

Yup, looks like Bittrex have locked many accounts with no prior warning, holding users' funds hostage unless they go through even more KYC procedures. Even with some users like yourself who have already done KYC, apparently the KYC is not good enough anymore, and they require you to take selfies whilst holding your ID and piece of paper saying "Bittrex" and the date. Completely laughable, and completely scammy to suddenly lock down users' accounts like this. "Send us your details or forfeit your coins" is essentially the message.

Yet another reason to never leave your coins on exchanges. Disgusting behavior from Bittrex.

That might be a lesson for all new people who want to use Bittrex because their team is very strict with security with a very good system, I think it can be understood when your account is not reactivated because it can be between dead accounts or anticipation when there is re-entry and can be followed up by them, congratulations to you because you can still reactivate it and remember it is a procedure for security and does not underestimate KYC because Bittrex is very important.

I'm glad that you have activated your account again. They have locked your account for security purposes and it's good that you have passed the Kyc. Don't forget to contact their support team the next time you'll have some trouble.
