Wait what, why are people panicked about the blockchain being offline.
Bitcoin isn't falling nor is the blockchain itself?
Because blockchain.info is the authoritative blockchain.

Errr, wait ... maybe not.

The LTC/BTC pair chart is full of brief pumps followed by months long decline. Don't see why it would be any different this time.

same patterns maybe but one scale bigger - last time we startet from 5$ - this time from 15$ ... expect a brief moment of 60-80$ for ltc in coming months. Also it could have an stable upwardstrend with not much spiking and crashing instead of bubbling up from panikbuyers like we know it since those people could be out of the market or less panicky.
If it doesn't bubble and crash, bubble and crash like in the past but trade up on a steady path instead it will keep most of the value it gains since the correction afterwards would only be mild. So less crazyness would actually maybe not be a bad thing for longterm valuebuilding. If it is traded like that this time around you'll see also new investor come in later because a steady uptrend with less downrisk attracts new investors for sure. That's what i would expect this time since crypto is known now and people don't need to panic so much with all the nice altcoins around (a train leaves every day somewhere) and everybody had now months to buy in low prices. So maybe it is less crazy but not less profitable this time. less spiking and crashing - more consolidating between periods of uptrends. Just a guess. I'd expect less volatility on btc and ltc overall. Also serious investors would buy over time and you maybe don't notice the new money at first before it becomes obvious as the uptrend could take longer timeperiods than expected. It is actually possible for bitcoin to always climb in price and never loose much given it is traded more calm than last time. It is designed to actually show that behaviour. I'd expect long, long, long periods of slow and steady gains as soon as new money silently floats in. All the pumping and dumping crazyness hurt everybody cuz it holds coinvalue low, leads to monopolised rippoff-coins and also keeps away more serious investors. so that could be the alternative to the known spike, crash and long decline patterns. We are now possibly in between the old and the new patterns. So you could see a bit of both right now. I mean look at ltc today! No spike, no crash - and that in the face of huobitrading! In those less turbulent conditions then even some altcoins could mature. Expect to make moneeez Wink

lol nothing is going on you must be new to Bitcoin, this happens too many times at all price levels. If this downward pressure continues we see 500's again.

Also litecoin is doing great thanks to Huobi  Smiley

Any chance that this ltc rise starts to pull BTC with it?
BTC pulled LTC up in its last rise, will LTC pull BTC up as well?

New money/suckers pulled BTC up last autumn. This recent rally in LTC is just from old money. Eventually it will start crashing down as no additional BTC gamblers buy LTC.

everybody is a expert who could predict the future when it comes to what the price of Litecoin will be.

My btc don't confirm no more. Blockchain.info is down. Ltc skyrockets and btc falls to the floor. Someone has information on this?

LTC now over $19. I must say I am impressed, although it is anybody's guess how long it will keep strengthening wrt BTC

I think LTC is going up because Huobi just added it. It'll probably come back down in a day or two.

Well, It's funny that 1$ increase in LTC is a "skyrocket" and 10-12$ drop in BTC is crash for people these days.

lol right? It doesn't seem that long ago that btc was $3 a piece.
