why is it dropping like that???SD{}FDS{:

nothing new really!
bitcoin price went up from $570 to $620 and some whales were cashing out by dumping and also wanting to test the bottom resistance and as it looks like the price is already up to $605-$610

so why area all the fuss in this topic?!!

i have about 10 btc.. i have lost like $400 so far FUCK!!!!!! and i dont even have the time to transfer it and sell it before it craches becaue it would take ages!!! what the hell do i do???
poor thing, I lost 5k

then you should have bought 10 days ago @ $570 when everybody was saying price will rise, not after it went up on top of the peek!

Maybe large holders will move into trusted altcoins during these periods of uncertainty like Andreas mentioned

WTF is happening, btc is down, btc is up, btc is stable for too long wtf wtf... Well bitcoin fluctuations are common thing, why people are so much surprised with this minor up and downs. People are earning money as I know with this low-high prices, not all people but good traders for sure.
I'm not afraid or confused with this fluctuations, people are trading, sending money then exchange it back in fiat, what ever happened we are over 600 $ and that is all its matter. Let it drop a bit, then rise again. Now you need to buy and wait a bit to rise and then to sell.

Simple...

It was pumped by a large transaction the other day.

And dumped by another large transaction.

Quite possibly the same entity.

You've got to move millions of USD in coins to change the price that much.

Lol it's a 3% drop... You really can't handle that? Time to move on to less risky currency, may I suggest USD? Rofl. Why are you watching the price compared to USD so much? It doesn't make a difference if you HODL. 1BTC = 1BTC today just like it did yesterday and it will tomorrow.

It just happened as soon as the Hillary health stuff has been announced. Weird, but it did. I'm not sure if it's about that 100% though, but might be a reason too.

This drop comes quite handy as I sold some one I know 0.5BTC for $622 yesterday, and bought just over 0.52BTC back at $597 for the same money just now. It's perhaps not the best profit out there, but I welcome every bit of profit that I can make. After a year every small profit I made will add up to a pretty decent number.

Ha ha. I have also just lost far far far more than $400. Hang on a second....that's wrong as I haven't sold. Haven't gained and haven't lost.

If the volatility worries you then get out and don't come back. People bought at $1100 a it dropped to $200, people bought at $790 and it dropped to $500 or so. These movement just happen whether a hack or some other crazy event. It happens quite often but it can also go UP just as quick so keep calm for fuck sake.
I agree! you don't lose anything provided you don't sell Wink

you didn't lose anything unless you sold.

and besides, with that many bitcoin you should be fine. As long as you hold.

a good explanation would be good.. of someone that perhaps knows why.. or has an idea.. because i swear i am having an heart attack by watching my wallet being out of $400

There is no real reason behind the current dump. It's pure manipulation from the highest levels. Very important thing is, have you sold your coins? If not, then you didn't lose anything. Keep holding out and don't panic. Don't feed the whales.

I don't see this as a big problem, its only a 4% of its price. It can recover on next hours or next weeks. If you are a trader, this movements are good to trade. But if you go to long as an investment, don't look the price every day.

Lol then you might want to seriously rethink whether bitcoin is for you, because it's been this volatile and worse.  And it'll be volatile again.  If you can't stand it,  open up a CD or a passbook savings account.
