wtf...mining.?? I put real money into my bitcoin wallet i payed real money. But nobody there to give god damn answrs!!!
It has nothing to do with "not enough miners". The only thing that (probably) happened, is that blockchain.info (at least, i think you're talking about this online wallet) didn't propose a sufficiently high fee.
I'll skip the technical, confusing, explanation and just go to the conclusion:
- 1 block is mined about every ~10 minutes
- Each block has a maximum size of 1 Mb
- This means that a maximum of ~3000 transactions can be included in a block every 10 minutes (theoretically, there could be more transactions into a block, but usually it's even less.... ~2000)
- If more than those 3000 transactions are broadcasted in a 10 minute window, some transactions will not get into the next block
- The miner can pick which transactions he/she'll add to the block he/she is currently working on
- Since mining is a business, not a charity, the miner will add the transactions with the highest fee/byte of transaction data
- IF you use an (online) wallet that doesn't estimate the size correctly, or doesn't estimate the appropriate fee adequately, you can rest assured that your transaction will have to wait untill the other transactions that had a higher fee/byte of data were included into a block/dropped/...
I agree that it's not a funny thing to hear. I agree that it's real money we're talking about. I agree that some companies are not professional enough (not naming names here)... The fact remains that at this moment, i'm afraid that everything works as designed.
Can you share your tx id? that way we can verify if you have the same problem as dozens of others?
