It looks like there's life in the old dog yet. Maybe Doge will not die after all.

Which of these "coins" can you actually buy something with?  There are only three coins out there that are actually being used somewhat as money, you know which they are.  Further reality checks... Crypto-world looks pretty big on the inside, but from the outside you can't even see it.  In this city of a million for instance, there are only about 20 places where Bitcoin is used.  Mass adoption?  I wish, you wish, we all wish.  Truth is though that most coins have such low trading volumes that they can't even be said to exist, even as speculative vehicles.

Merged mining makes Doge more secure, no more fear of 51% attack = more valuable = more demand = higher price.
Yup.

Also much higher difficulty now due to all that extra hashing power.  The real issue is why is everyone buying NOW and not last week when it was one third the price as this move was well known.

I don't know. Judge by what I know from Bitcoin merged mining coins this coins are somehow "living dead" not really dead but also not alive anymore ! Huh
Yes they survive. But what are those coins still good for? With this step DOGE's magic is gone for me... nice little independent funny coin  Cry

SuperNET?
I don't think so. James made it clear that clones with no feature don't have a chance to become a core coin. I don't know if a big community counts as feature.

"funny coin"

if your interested i can sell you some Monopoly money ? it has bright colors and a funny name ..should be a hit lol
it's big feature is the Hasbro Games inc. "community"  Roll Eyes

and NO "community" does not count as a "feature" and neither does any of the dummy services or crap tacked onto it after the fact.
if you look at the same day the coin was released i am sure you would see a dozen other coins the exact same with a different name and icon.
get it ?
and that was just on ONE day LOL

what we have here is a game.. sort of like a multi-level marketing scheme.

and if that is what floats your boat then go for it.. ahahaa

DOGE doesn't need SuperNET anyway. It's community is what it is all about. Nothing else for it really matters.

Hah. The mere fact that it even has to be said just goes to show the sheer power of an idea. SuperNET is just an outside bet, but I find your comment interesting.

Generally what happens is people buy on the rumour (merged mining) and sell on the news (now it's been released). The opposite has happened.

I smell a dead cat bounce.

it has nothing to do with the announcement of merged mining at all !
that was news a LONG time ago so why would it all of a sudden create a massive spike in price over night randomly like a month or two later ?
It wouldn't.

it's the same old story..

either some guy is buying them up and he has a lot of Bitcoin to spend because he thinks Doge has a bright futures and he's an idiot.

Or it's someone who knows damn well it sucks ass and he/she is buying like crazy to trigger a price increase. (for a grand dumping later)
more than likely it's the later and it's a commons sense assessment of the situation i think.

This is what happens on all coins..

You all decide Wink

This could be the end of a bubble or maybe the start of a rise to reach a new ATH, who knows.

Something I just can't understand. The announcement of merged mining DOGE with LTC makes people lose their mind and buy DOGE?

I dont mind, I have some bought at 29 Cheesy. But what the hell, merged mining only makes DOGE less valuable, but the exact opposite is happening.

Maybe there are other indicators I'm not seeing?

I was in your boat. I was very curious about Doge price as i didn't think it would hold up, but then bam complete opposite. Hidden in this run up is some crypto analysis that is probably very valuable. Such as hashrate is far more important than we realize, combined with the idea that miners won't necessarily sell. LTC miners got a free coin with their efforts, maybe it is not so obvious that they would sell those free coins, wait around and see if they go up in price.

Now that price is running nuts, everyone is on the sidelines watching and holding. Panic buying for anyone that remotely believes in the Doge.

Most Doge buyers believe it should be worth more than LTC, so they will hold for a while. If it makes it close to LTC they get a X10 return. If Doge makes it to where LTC was they get a X100 return.

1) currency is secured by merged mining;

2) out of "major" currencies it's the only one with potential to increase value by hundred percents in the nearest future +

2.1) it has potential to replace LTC as #2 crypto-currency (community will make sure business penetration surpass communty-less LTC sooner rather than later).

Also pump =)

edit: 6M+ daily trade volume (3x more than LTC), 75% price increase.
