Yes but my friend is now reluctant to sell as there is no new hardware out there to replace his missing hashing power. However I guess if you offer a really good price he may change his mind.

Yep totally understand your viewpoint. The other sucky thing is the high energy price in UK as compared to some places in US and Canada.

Yeah that is my big challenge in UK I was at some point back in 2013 looking at getting a mining co location up and running but despite costs to run at co location plus equipment and get services in place it looked good on forecast for 6 to 8 months to run smooth and then to do future ahead and well it went very interesting and soon went into negative figure.

Looked at setting up small whorehouse and own location would work pretty well but now with costs of energy yin UK would be killer. Only way could work at it is a solar station and also have close to river location or something and have energy that way along with heating and storage heater converting into heat to energy and then all self effective mining cooperation but man funding for that would be insane.

Still looking to a lot of stuff and how can put miners to use and how to be cost effective. I have a few plans that am working on and is looking good so far to get a business running but still  sorting out the cost side of things but its getting to a positive side of numbers and if can get into mega plus figures then I will be doing a nice thread and some sort of crowed fund for it.

Wish I was in Canada right now as  I would have some. If shipping UK no doubt would cost a fair bit in customs and also importing and shipping fees too. So bitmain have actually stopped selling S3 now then? First heard of this guess I need to check their site out more often lol.

Yeah sadly these are not worth shipping as shipping costs would be close to or near the purchase price. Yes they stopped selling these officially. S5 is where it's at but even those are in limited supply and overpriced.

Indeed I just looked at them S5 they do look tempting however I don't see they will ever brake even at their price and what diff is and going to in the next 4 to 5 diff changes and price. If price was on BTC was at double or more then it might be worth it but right now its dead for buying and mining unless get a good ratio on cost and energy. I would love to continue mining and get hands on some more equipment but cost, to mining, generating and energy used is a no go for me. If was in Canada then I would have or shipping wasn't bad then would consider.

How much are you charging for these? Are you still charging $149? Thanks

I believe my friend is still asking 149, but make him an offer; he may accept.

Your best bet is to just post this on Kijiji. You won't get any high bidders because CanadaPost overcharges on shipping and most buyers won't want to pay that ontop of the purchase price.

Yeah they're already on kijiji actually and according to my friend the units are moving slow (ie being sold), but he's not really eager to sell either because there is no new gear to replace his missing hashing power.

Well according to what he tells me "this weekend i have order for 5 S3+ and 2S3. S3+ package for 420 and s3 package for 380/400 depending on situation."
I think he is getting a better deal selling the locally so I'm starting to think closing this thread might be best as it's not likely he's going to get much action from the forum. Based on that price he's getting his asking price of 169 CAD (133 USD). He's selling them with HP 1200 watt PSUs too that each cost around $70 CAD so it's a decent deal I guess.

well i would take 10 in toronto for the right price (ideally <$140cad/ea)

Ah right, forgot about ebay. At below $100 it may be better to just mine with them until they are no longer profitable.

what price would you be looking for to sell 10 units near M6K Toronto? CAD payment preferred

Well I'm not sure as they are not mine. I will pass your message on to my friend.

I agree. If someone has free or cheap power, these are very good ways to get into btc mining cheaply. Spend a bit over $1k and have 3.6+ Th.
