Not easy to find so thought i would ask.  I think you mentioned a firebird - do you have one and if so are you interested in selling it.

i had one but sold it about 2 years ago because i didnt have the time to work on it , i picked it up as a pair with the camaro, the guy wouldnt sell me the camaro unless i took the firebird to , needed a windshield and a motor , ended up seling it for 600$

BTW- here is one of my former cars - (the video is before I owned it).  It was a stroker motor built by RSI in Texas as their show car and had the 1/4 mile naturally aspirated record for a bit.  Its the Yellow one at the end.  Big lumpy cam that was barely streetable -- but fun to drive.

Unfortunately it was one of the first things I got rid of when my wife got sick a few years ago.

My brother had an IROC and also a black 78 Firebird growing up so they have some sentimental value to me. I really like the Firebird and wish he still had it. Lol

Out of curiosity, why did you switch to the single from the dual set up?  Do you still have the other motor and dual turbo set up or was the block used in the current motor?

the twin turbo setup was based around a stockish engine , on the new engine they spooled up to fast and choked the motor at mid to high rpms , i ended up selling the turbo system to a guy on the camaro forums for his stock engined firebird. i went with on ebig single turbo because it was cheaper to do and simpler to plumb and design the system around a single turbo.

the block is from the twin turbo motor, but everything else got throw away i.e crank, rods, pistons, cam, heads, intake etc , the block is a 4 bolt main 0010 block

heres my old twin setup i built on the other guys car , he upgraded from the twin 57mm turbos to twin 61mm turbos ( t61's)

i build alot of turbo kits for v6 and v8 camaros for people

heres a 92 v6 car with a swaped in 3.4L v6 i went to indiana to build for a fellow forum member

in 7 days , we went from a running n/a 3.4 v6 to custom built turbo system , standalone ecm install to full tuned and ready to go

this was night 4 at around 3am

Anything done to the brakes and suspension for all that boost?  Are most of the needed items interior work?  Is the body straight or was paint put down on top of irregularities?

brakes are stock and are adequate for street and drag use ( also has a parachute for lsr and drag racing$ , not good enough for road course use for sure
suspension has stock hi spring rate z-28/iroc z springs , with upgraded 1Le swaybars ( 1le is the factory road race version) , drag shocks in the rear ,

the car was stripped to bare metal before being painted

there are some areas on the body that need attention , the passenger door had a long crease in it near the bottom of the door that i repaired myself the best i could but u can still tell its not perfect if u look closely , the pasenger rear quarter panel also has a lil bit of irregularity in it but its not very bad u have to really look to see it , i did not have the proper tools to bring it back perfect and none of the body shops in my area wanted to tackle the job , which was fine with me i didnt want a show car when i built this thing.the hood is a brand new amd steel bolt on 4 inch cowl hood, no hood latch it uses a set of hood pins to lock the front down

this is something u can drive and park in a parking lot and not worry about a lil ding from another cars door or shopping cart.

if somone wanted to replace the door and fix the rear quarter panel to make it perfect i do have enough paint to go with the car to redo the entire car , i made sure i bought 2x the amount of paint i had needed to paint the car incase of future repairs due to idiots or accidents.

if it ended up being sold to somone semi local and they wanted to fix the minor cosmetic flaws and bring it back to me i would respray the car the car for them the same color it is now free of charge

95% of the needed work is in the interior , driver seat needs to be recovered , and i had started to swap the interior from red to black , the black carpet , plastics and seats are installed , but the door panels , and the console i have are red and either need to be dyed black or replaced with black units , being cloth they can be dyed very easily instead of replacing the entire piece(s) the rest of the interior work is just cleaning up the wires for the gauges and ecm , no actual wiring just making it all look nice , which i will prolly end up doing here this weekend
on the outside it needs a new rear spoiler , the original on the car was damaged and i had planed on replacing it with a aluminum drag wing , u can pick up a stock unit for about 75$ and it bolts on , or the aluminum drag wings are about 375$

no stereo in the car , to be honest u wouldn't be able to hear it anyways , anyone interested in this car would much rather hear the exhaust system, the turbo spooling up and the blow off valve going off im sure

i have a half day at work tomorrow and im off sunday so i am going to spend some time tidying a few things up and grabbing some interior shots and some videos as well to post

Oh nice muscle car you have there man! I love these cars so much. Not much in sending a dragcar to Europe and wouldn't be able to afford it.

Though, do you have a movie of it pulling a few runs???  Grin

thank you and sorry i accidently hit the post button instead of preview so the first post wasnt completed yet when u replied , i do have a few videos driving this thing around but i need to encode them still and upload to youtube , i did put the link to an older video of when i first fired the new engine and was about to bring the car home to start doing the finishing work , ill add more over the next 1-2 days though

and its not a drag car as much as it is a land speed racing and street car , i built this car as my daily driver , and also to run at the bonnevile salt flats and go drag racing with from time to time , ive decided to get back into bikes , dirtbikes, and sportbikes but the car needs to go first as i have way to many projects
