LB Will you also auction one of the series 2 2011?

I just sent the 2 x Series 2 I recently purchased in to ANACS today.  I am considering selling a 2011 series 2 ANACS MS66 I have in my possession (not sure, may keep it as I really like the low mintage number of the series 2)

I agree with you LitcoinCollector, it is poor form to list a price and then not sell when offered that price.

Shameless plug:  I will be auctioning a 2011 Error Coin ANACS MS67 beginning this Sunday, keep an eye out if interested....

I hear you daze, I offered ask price, then he upped his price. I don't do business like that. He should have sold it for btc, since it is only going up. Roll Eyes

Hmm interesting business tactics.

Offers here to first bid of 1.5btc. Get several offers, so ups the price to 1.6btc.

Posts instead on ebay. Sells for 3000usd within 3 hours of listing. Less 10% ebay and 3% paypal fees, 2610usd. At current exchange rate: ~1.5btc.

Interesting how? He did likely didn't get any offers here, hence the trip to eBay. He did exactly what he told us he was going to do if he didn't get any serious offers at 1.6btc.

Getting fiat from ebay is a much easier transaction that getting bitcoin and having to exchange it. If this guy was selling his coin he likely wanted to divest his bitcoin holdings anyway.

You know, you really come across as a smartass.

He said he would come back to the first 1.5 offer here. Ref quote. He didn't. He sold on ebay for less then he would have made here, especially considering the rocketing BTCUSD rate. Further, your assumption that he wanted to "divest his bitcoin holdings" is baseless at best. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. Most of us here buy, sell, and trade physicals without ever touching fiat (beyond paying shipping fees).

I've had 3 offers come in for 1.5.  I will propose that first offer of 1.6 will take it.  If I don't receive an offer of 1.6 by the end of the day today, it will go to the first 1.5 offer I received, and so on.

A note on the condition - I haven't really tried cleaning / retouching it.  There are a few spots on the front of the coin as you can see in the photo, but I figured someone else might be better at cleaning it up than I.

Don't clean the coin, leave it as is.

Auctions realize the best price, in my opinion.  They are also fun for the entire family.

Why not have an auction?

Yeah
That was going to be my next suggestion.
But you seem to have more experience on this topic. Cheesy

Auction would be the next step to be done. Grin

What is the error on the coin? The date year? Off by a year maybe?
Not familiar with physical bitcoins in noticing such things which would be more apparent to most here.
Sorry for my ignorance in the matter.
But would still like to be in the know cause fiat coins shown error make it more valuable if not for the one for bitcoins.

The name "Casascius" is spelled wrong on the hologram.

Yes, it's spelled correctly with the large "casascius" printed on the back, but on the part of the hologram where the word is repeating in the background it's spelled "casacius".
