McLaren Life forum is a good source for McLaren related info.

McLarens are very reliable automobiles. There are numerous threads pertaining to useage, reliability & mileage.

Highest level of performance over any other supercars, drivability like a sedan and fuel mileage is incredible as well.

My car is listed for sale on several other forums for $160k.

Extremely low mileage McLarens are generally not well sorted and any McLaren not covered under warranty are a huge risk.

With that being said, the value of bitcoin at the time the listing was posted was inline with the initial bitcoin asking price.

I have also mentioned that the final sale/trade value will be determined based on the bitcoin value at the time of the transaction.

The McLaren is available for trade. The trade can be a reasonable vehicle trade plus cash or Bitcoin will also be accepted.

The car is located just outside of New Orleans, Louisiana if anyone is interested in checking it out.

20k miles for a 2014 12-c is not considered extremely low miles.   At least 10+ 12-c spiders with much lower miles (more options) on autotrader and cars.com and several of those dealers welcome payment with Bitcoin Cash.  GLWTS!

You should try rereading the post. I never insinuated my McLaren had extremely low miles. I stated my car is well sorted and I caution to watch out for McLarens with extremely low miles as well as McLarens not covered under warranty. A four year old car with under 10k miles will likely spend some time in the service department once a new owner starts driving it.

It's no fun to pay $150k+ for a car and only have access to it for 6 months the first year while it is getting the typical McLaren glitches corrected the other 6 months of the year sitting in service at the dealer.

The lack of independent repair shops and limited access to second hand parts make it a huge risk to purchase any McLaren out of warranty as repairs/parts on these cars are extremely expensive.

I've owned this car for 2 years. The first month it went back to the dealer for a water pump and hose clamps. It has been problem free ever since.

McLaren gets a bad rap for reliability because too many cars are left parked in the garage. These cars are made to be driven. When driven regularly, they are problem free. Drivability and performance are also second to none.

Are they good as daily drivers for road trips and stuff or should they be used only sometimes? I always wonder if these types of cars would be okay going up to 50k or more miles or even like 150k...

Price is too high compared to other 12-c spiders on the US market with similar options which are selling for $140-160K.

I'm interested if you are willing to come down on price and accept payment in Bitcoin Cash.  Refuse to pay with Bitcoin.  Ridiculous fees, and confirmation times these days.

@ChironRegera

What dickhead worries about a $40 fee when buying a $140k - $160k car.

Answer - someone that cant afford the car.

Putting the 140k into bch would also end up costing at least $280 if on an exchange that charges 0.2% for the trade. It will probably cost more so easier to just pay the 40...

To move $140k in BCH from my wallet to another BCH wallet would cost less than $.50.

PS. You’re paying too much in exchange fees if it’s costing you 0.2%.   I guess if you support BTC then you must enjoy paying high fees.

I don't see you expressing any interest in buying the car, so stop trying to hijack the thread and STFU.

Erm, who is doing more hijacking here? This was a dormant thread having a nice sleep concerning a ludicrously overpriced car. Now it's been ruined by devilish fork talk.

Last I checked, this is a for sale thread and as far as we know, the car is still for sale.

Don't be spreading FUD and trying to hijack the thread and then not expect others to call you out on it.  I could care less what you think about Bitcoin BCH.  I bought my first BTC when it was less than a penny and BCH is the coin I signed up for back in 2010.

So he should accept a vastly more volatile shitcoin to save five to twenty dollars in fees on his multi hundred thousand dollar vehicle? I do hope you don't run a business of any type.

You obviously have not been following the price of Bitcoin Cash vs Bitcoin Core over the past week or you'd know which one is more volatile      Hint: It's not bitcoin cash.

BTC fees are no longer $25 dollars.  They surpassed $40 dollars just a few days ago.  Get your ducks in a row before you try to spread FUD.   Keep your useless BTC.  No one cares!

Not sure how the pricing is in the US for these but compared to the UK its massively over priced.

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/mclaren/12c-spider

All used cars are freakily underpriced in the UK compared to everywhere else. It's an odd and eternal anomaly.

But yeah, this one's aiming for the stars compared to others - https://www.truecar.com/used-cars-for-sale/listings/mclaren/
