Even his name gives it away. Come on people, you're paying very expensive learning coins here.

if everyone knew this was a scam, why wasn't it closed and locked immediately?

heck why isn't closed and locked right now?
It is like rubbernecking on the freeway when passing an accident.  Everyone loves to look I guess.

He sent me a picture of 3 cards, and claimed to be in Canada. I sent payment for 2 cards last night.

you were scammed
Lessaj, I hope you used an escrow service because something doesn't add up...  He told me he was in North Carolina and as far as I know North Carolina isn't one of Canada's 10 provinces.

Entirely possible. Live and learn I guess. Will certainly be more careful going forward. Luckily it wasn't a crazy amount of coins and since LTC just doubled in price I'm still doing ok. Smiley

Someone know a backstory on this guy?  Seems like a nice guy via PM and offered me 5 GPUs so it seems that he may have sold 3 of the 8.  His offer price was fair for used GPUs too.  I tried to work out a deal but he was not open to escrow and I'm not comfortable sending coins without.
