Those of you calling him greedy for asking market rate are greedy for wanting him to price it below market rate.  If you don't like the price, move on and stop whining.

at that ROI better to buy some fpga's

also could be damaged/worn out
FPGA = higher electricty cost.  Not an issue now, but in the future this ASIC will still be profitable, the FPGA's won't be.

What happened to your deal to trade the Jalapeno to Yifu so he can see if it's really 65nm?

So, ever who offered you 26btc would pay 312btc for an in-hand single? That's just crazy. I know I don't have my order(28xx) yet, but feel it's close. I would definitely sell my single for 312btc. Hell, I would take 200btc no questions asked. Honestly, I might even take 150btc with it still in pre-order stage. I hope I get the thing soon because I would be dumb not to sell at these outrageous prices.

It is a ridiculous price but with the current BFL situation it makes sense to price it that high. Desperate folk (or rich) will definitely purchase it.

Will it make 26BTC over the useful life of this device?
It is mining over 0.2 BTC per day right now, so if difficulty doesn't change (HAH!) and you have free electricity (DOUBLE HAH!) you'll break even in 4 or 5 months.

PS: best offer so far is a private offer of 26 BTC plus shipping.

thats crazy

Not really.   I personally would only go 18 BTC myself for this specific unit at this time because I would like to see the payoff in less then six months.  Someone else might be willing to go out to a year for payback.  I would go higher if I did not have my own BFL product coming already.

Oddly, original BFL FPGA singles are still going for basically purchase price in USD and that is after a year of mining.

Mine is doing roughly a 1/4 BTC per day.

That's more than I expected for one of those little things.

Knowing what you know now would you buy more from them? Or maybe move up to 50 GHZ/sec?

So far I haven't done any mining because it has a rip off gold rush feel to it.  Grin The rigs you can buy eat too much power and are now too slow. The rigs you want are unavailable but you can get in line for a pre order. If you want to take the chance.

I'm sure he will find someone on ebay to sell that BFL to.  I've seen em go for that type of money.   For that price I can buy almost 12 of them from BFL direct. Of course it will take 6 months to forever.  Roll Eyes

I wonder how many coins can be mined with it in one or 2 weeks?

I think the price has merit, if he paid in bit coin he can sell in bitcoin, maybe a bit less since it is used. Maybe 20BTC. If that includes the shipping i suppose it's ok.

So, if I get my single in a few weeks I can sell it for 312BTC?  Shocked

I think Goat's bid is more than fair and would hope no one is crazy enough to spend much more.
