I'm going to investigate selling custom sewn / embroidered items - these will be more exciting than they sound, I'm thinking of custom Bitcoin designs and "fuzzy flashers."
I also hope in future to offer a range of South African sweets.
As it happens, I have a contact who travels regularly to Zimbabwe. He can bring items like Zim banknotes, wood, stone & leatherwork, etc. Or let me know if there's anything special you'd like from Zim, I'll make a plan to get it for you. [edit - I see the Mbira, a traditional African instrument which is like a cross between a piano and a harp, selling on Amazon for way too many Dollars. I bet I could get those instruments made by the same Shona tribespeople for a whole lot less in Bitcoin.]

I'm sure it will go by letter. I'll place it within card or cardboard. I'll get exact details for you in the morning, will need to look over various envelope sizes, etc.
Kenya is kicking ass with their M-Pesa adoption! And that's just been hooked up to Bitcoin wallets! So yeah, there's a lot of buzz about Bitcoin and Kenya, big potential there. Money transmission fees are steep in Africa and financial services in general are lacking, so Bitcoin could really do a lot of good here.
I'm not sure your purpose in sending it to Great Zimbabwe University, so hard to comment there.
