Were you able to run 5 GPUs on that GA-970A-D3? Did you use powered or nonpowered pci extenders?
Yes and they are non-powered. I ran then in combination with the PC Power & Cooling PSUs. I have two mining rigs running currently with this configuration.

No I am not the original owner of them so I don't have access to that. But they have worked without any hiccups like a workhorse.

All Barracudas. (3) 40GBs & (1) 80GB. I would rather dump some of the 40s because of my current configuration and which servers are being decommissioned. They may even be too small?
