just checked eBay price for local shipping within the US and i would say that the average price for s9j is 750-850USD on eBay for sold items

cargo or airplane does not matter for the customs
when any merchandise comes to customs they check the tarif code.

the shipping method actually does matter and I know what I'm talking about because i have experience shipping Asics to EU countries with zero taxes
I'm not going to disclose anything on public forums about how to avoid taxes but we can speak about it directly with the buyer and if there are any issues with taxes I will split the bill up to 50/50
since s9 asics are in high demand and I'm not in a hurry I will wait for my buyer for the price noted

shipping with UPS or fedex ground. shipping within 2 business days after payment
possible shipping to EU also with next to none-taxes (cargo shipping) but it will take around 2 months to be delivered
