Oops I didnt scroll down on the image link lol.  Lazy me thanks krog.  Didnt realize these were peeled.

Were they peeled or did they sell this way? I dont see any holo pattern on coin.

What say you Spokanistan? Did holos come attached or on the side?

they were never sold like this afaik.
Probably peeled and cleaned...

but if thats not the case, would like to know as well

I agree Sky... but if he peeled he should have left holo pattern on it. I dont like cleaned coins.
Could it have been cleaned without damaging the silver??  That’s not possible is it??

Good question. Not sure. It is something I learned from collecting stamps. If a stamp was hinged and part of the gum was still attached, you leave the existing gum still on there. Also when they grade stamps a cleaned stamp is of less value than a stamp that has not been modified in anyway. Just my two satoshi's...and my preference.

I always get a spooky feeling when I see peeled coins being sold without their original holograms. Everyone that would be peeling these things knows how much collector's value the hologram, so then the only way it makes sense in my head is if the hologram was sold separately or being used for nefarious purposes.

OP, do you know the story of where these holos ended up?

For anybody considering selling their coins: NEVER CLEAN A COIN, Not even professionally.

Have these coins been peeled?
I’ve never seen any Lealana coins sold un-assembled. If I recall correctly, all buyer funded coins were sold with holograms and the coins were assembled (firstbits were green and hologram was laser etched with ‘Buyer Funded’).

Yeah great question.  Can you take a picture of the back of these coins and post them?

I'd put up a 5 day auction starting at 0BTC with increments of 0.005BTC.  Offer the use of escrow and you should get a fair price for your items.  Nice coins BTW  Wink

I really appreciate the advice. I'll entertain offers for a few days and go the auction route. Newer here, but have been selling crypto and related collectibles on Ebay for years (h2o_customs). Tired of the bs, fraud, and games there. Agree on use of escrow all day for peace of mind.

Yeah good choice.  Done right auctions with escrow here are silky smooth for the most part.  Good luck on your sale or possible auction.

What country do you ship from?

Auction sounds good if you don't get any solid bids on PM.
