Looks a dead project to me. While based on coinmarketcap that the supply of it is verified and confirmed to be at 62.82B.
What can you say about the volume that it has got only at $18? Totally dead, right? and whoever buys it will just get stuck there will no able to get his/her money for having liquidity issues.

I don't think you get an answer on here.

Mostly people don't know anything, If I recommended to you with their community basically a death community none of them on there even the developer. So, just sell the coins mate ~xd.

The node only a few running, and developer/community social media is also death.

You mean these one: https://coinmarketcap.com/id/currencies/x-cash/ ?

I also collect these coins from their airdrop stored in my paper wallet. Seem like these coin is dead last update tweet on 2022 and they never update again right now. Failed project I guess, to bad.
I think this X-cash ran a bounty here on this forum in 2018/19, or so. I can't be too sure any more if we're looking at the same project or not. Anyway, many of those projects back then went under and couldn't make any good showing. There are a good number of them I'm baghodling and wouldn't want to trash them yet. No one knows what direction this industry can take and the devs of those projects decide to list them, possibly to offload their own bags too. Early this month, I saw someone trying to provide liquidity for another supposedly defunct project – ONZ on Pancakeswap. If that liquidity becomes high to the point that the token will become tradable, hodlers will certainly have an opportunity to sell off their bags. I'm baghodling this token too.

One of the dead projects, and if i look into my old wallet, I will still find a few tokens that are dead. Actually there are a lot of old tokens in my wallet that show high potential at that time and attracted people towards them, but they just lost their community because people like to invest in new project. If we look at coingecko or coinmarketcap then we will see that most of the projects listed their are dead. This shows us we should always have a exit plan for every project we are investing in beside bitcoin and ETH.

This is a dead project and one of the things that annoys me most is that there would be people that really bought this project hoping to sell when the price goes up but looking at the nature of things now, this project had been dead for long and now w are entering 2024 which is going to make it almost a year plus this project had last posted. I don't trust many of the projects these days because a lots of things do happen making projects to end up in rug pull.

A newbie investor into cryptocurrency should make sure that they gain a lot of knowledge about how the crypto market works, because there are a lot of projects that'll enter the market with hypes of continuity and giving their investors huge and continues ROI, in the end they won't live up to expectations and die with investors funds. So investing in new projects in the crypto space is a gamble, and to minimize the risks of losing money, a newbie must atleast learn how to carry out research of the coin/token that they want to buy. It's safe to buy Bitcoin, anytime, because you don't have to worry about it  being dead, it has proven it's reputation in the crypto market.

I mined some of these years ago but cannot get the blockchain to sync.

Is this project dead?  Undecided
It's a shame that the wait is quite long.
I think if you want to invest if there is already a decent increase, just hurry up and sell it.
don't keep it because you hope the price will go up even more.
because the ups and downs of prices we don't know, especially until the project dies, it's unfortunate.

What I am getting at is why will the blockchain for x-cash not fully sync?
It gets so far then stops...

I know the project is dead but if it is decentralised and there is at least one node running, why does it fail to sync.
The coins may not be worth much but I could still trade them.

Those with decent jobs should not waste time with these new projects. Their strategy should be to invest in top 50 market cap coins only. You have to pick from those 50 based on which ones have got price corrected at right time. If possible, keep accumulating on all major drops. Like whenever I see market correcting by 10-20% in a week, I see an upward movement of same amount the following week. This is because other investors are also looking for same opportunities.
People who invest in new projects or new cryptocurrencies often do it because they think such coins can provide higher profits in a shorter period which is true on some occasions but it doesn't always work that way because many projects fail miserably, and some die before gaining much value, some don't even make it into the market and die only during the development phase and every single person that has bought their tokens in a public or private token sale lose their money.

Some people also think that a coin that has a low market cap has a higher probability of providing higher returns which isn't true. The market cap of a coin or a token depends on its current price and it doesn't indicate anything for the future. A meme coin might not have a very high market cap but it has the potential to provide great returns, sometimes.

Most of these coins that involved airdrops, sell them off when there is still FOMO, or else you will remain holding bags after several years, and they will just be abandoned projects.
Beginner investors view the pump dump currency as if it reaches a certain price, it is able to reach it again, so keeping it may mean a good investment opportunity, while all that will happen is that the price gets closer and closer to zero value.
Any altcoin that has reached the summit has less chance of reaching the summit than Bitcoin, so investing in it may mean a certain loss in the long term.

If those people bought it in the past, then it might not look that bad. But if they buy it nowadays, then indeed it can be crazy. So many new projects have come out which are much better than it. And then we still have our own old coins which can guarantee them some pump when the bull run comes back. So I don't see any good reason to stick with this X-Cash. A lot of things can happen but it's not always the negative ones. Although for us to be sure, it's best to investigate the project that we will pick properly and won't just depend on luck by picking them randomly. It's also not good to FOMO for those who are already in the spotlight.

This is what happens when you invest in projects that do not have any future. The project according to the information posted on this thread is long dead and does not have any liquidity. As we all know most projects in the altcoin space are dead after some years of existence. When you make any investment or mine any coin you need to check whether you need to hold those coins for long term or short term. If op had sold those coins that he mined long back he would have gained some benefits and for now these coins have zero value.

These projects are not suitable for long-term investment, either because you will not find sufficient liquidity to sell them for the dollar or any cryptocurrency, or they have been burned or restricted due to some technical developments. Therefore, keeping these currencies outside the platforms or for long periods will eventually lead to their value being zero. Buy them at a time of good news. Sell it when you make a profit.

I got these from (Airdrop), got a good amount coin from their airdrop scheme. I just leave it on my paper wallet, maybe in the future will worth more and listing on some big exchange. At least people are trying.

It's free coin, better to see these going zero rather than seeing the coin are on high price ~XD. Nothing to lose for me.

This is the official Twitter of the coin

https://twitter.com/XCashCrypto

Their last Tweet was on October 19,2022.

Even they do not care to update the users about the latest development related to the coin. Just forget about this coin and move on.

-cut- wondering why did you think there's a change?

I just found the keys and thought I would have a look. I could sync so far into the blockchain and then it got 'stuck' around 0x800000?
Thought that was odd.

Is this project dead?  Undecided

Like so many others like this, it's dead. Last pinned post in their currently spam ad bots filled telegram was from 2021. Last twitter post from 2022. Their website isn't down probably because payments have covered this year. But it will eventually disappear too. There's no real volume what so ever, or any legitimate exchanges (There usually is some volume even with dead tokens as there are some bots trading dead tokens too.) So i am wondering why did you think there's a change?

Ironically even this can pump in altcoin season as there will be lots of living dead charts pumping up. Not that this would or should. Just saying...
