that's an old thing man, apparently old fpga for bitcoin can't work with x11, but i'm not sure about this
anyway fpga aren't a new tech we know they exist , and some of them even if re-programmed can't mine some algo, for script for example you need tons of memory, for x11 you need other staff

I doubt anyone repurposed Bitcoin FPGA miners for X11. Most of the FPGAs used for Bitcoin had 150K logic cells and fit two SHA256 engines per chip. I'd love to see how X11 would fit on that.
-edit: As far as I've seen, the only people claiming to be using old FPGA miners are mining Blake based coins.

The net and market is too small for ASICS (imho) i think the big coins will just switch and the small ones vanish...

I cannot yet say much on X11 in particular as I'm still looking at qubit (X5), so far:- Luffa is a joke. I am surprised it was proposed as a SHA candidate, even more it made a few rounds. You need far less than a talented programmer to port it.
- Cubehash seems to have been designed since day one to be super-efficient in terms of die area and I expect this to be observable on FPGAs as well
You don't need "facts" to understand someone might do FPGAs... just look at the code. It is incredibly simple. Given my experience, I hardly believe you need someone highly skilled to make this work in FPGAs.

Right now I mine Scrypt and sell it to buy X11 because the fervor is deeply set in and not going away any time soon. Please. Someone show me an example where they are consistently generating more BTC worth of coin per day with X11 over Scrypt. Because I would really love that.
this is not true, with wincoin for example(x11) you earn more right now than any scrypt(coinwarz, unless there are hidden scrypt coin that are more profitable)
or mining jackpot with 750ti is much better than any scrypt

This is a stupid argument and you know it. Who cares if a unknown underground sh*tcoin is more profitable for one day. Generally X11 has never been profitable to mine since "day 1".
If you can do simple math with the market stats it's easy to see x11 is mined with something more efficient than GPU's.
Though I have to admit that keeping an eye on x11's profitability for months now it is better now than it used to be. I guess with all the new GPU's coming into x11 and the prices rising the "mysterious hardware's" part mining x11 is becoming more marginal.

That's why it doesn't make more sense.
Assuming there is a genius who has developped the code he couldn't have such a high hasrate on his own.
He would have to sell the code to a few people. But we all know that people talks (profitability or not... )
Secrecy when there is such large hashrate spread all over the X11 coin, doesn't sound like secrecy because that's mean many people would have to be involved (and wouldn't be secret anymore)
And assuming that Scrypt are really more profitable (didn't check) than X11, it is more likely people are moving their gpu to X11 increasing the profitability for those who stay on scrypt.
