They are brand new, burned second hand you can get for 1000.

that is fine to buy used equipment,  cars, vga cards, cpus and etc. people used to do it for a long time.
a lot people bought used ASICs after proper diagnostics and they worked as intended.
sure there is more risk against new equipment but the price 2-4 times less and that is totally fine reward for the risk, imho.
based on fact that profit is reducing very fast, purchasing  used equipment may allow to ROI faster.

By the way fpgas are not that efficient on Raven , for example there are some mining new alghorithm already 4000euro worth of FPGA is doing 100 mh/s at 120 watts. https://mineshop.eu/fpga-miners/xilinx-bcu-1525-fpga-detail/

good luck with that, none of the ones ive bought second hand have been "burned"

Prove it they are available for everyone for 1000 would like to buy some?

go to the fpga discord like everyone else? last 3 i bought stock passive no ram were 1100 usd each.

bcus are not 4000euros can be found for between 1100-1500usd

Guys stop arguing, Difficulty and Total hash rate dropped significantly.
Profitability went about 2x as it was before the for .
Ens of the story. Tested, Proven, Recorded

Of course don't expect to get rich mining Raven its still that not profitable as any of the GPU coins is not profitable to mine.

The network hash dropped but how about the difficulty? If the hashrate drops the difficulty should be reduce but look at the difficlty it is still the same as the past few months and the reward you are mining daily is the same as before this is just base on my experience because I am mining raven coin since January.

And the reason why the network hash drop it's because there is a little drop on hashrate my mining rig is mining with 90+ hashrate on average but right I'm only getting around 80+ and sometimes lower than that. So it means they are just drop mining hashrate a little so that it will look like they fix the FPGAs and ASIC issue.

Your data is way off, both the hash rate and difficulty dropped far more than that, for hash rate something like from 22 Th/s prefork to about 8 Th/s now (it fluctuates intraday), check it out:

and GPU profitability for mining RVN went from clearly negative (after fees) to being currently the number 4 in all coins in terms of profitability.

What are you talking about? The network hash dropped a huge amount, this was due to kicking off the hoard of OW1 Asics that were hitting the raven network. It was at 21.6 terahash and now it's right around 9th/s, that's over a 50% drop with the week time to allow everyone to change pools and get back on it (including new gpu miners)

x16rv2 did nothing to fpgas lol wasnt intended to as they were not the issue. people need to stop spreading fud about fpgas.

Are you talking about waiting for block halving? You can wait for more than 28 months? So 2 and a half before ravercoin block halving.

Yes it was even slightly more i took a snapshot just before the fork

And first days after for hashrate was hoovering in between 5-6TH , till people figured out that its profitable to mine it. So it means there was about 70% asic miners on Raven coin which is a lot of hashpower.

We're not spreading FUD here we are just telling the truth that there are no changes after the upgrade.
If you see your miner getting more daily profit it is because the hashrate when mining ravencoin is not stable run your miner first for a week you will notice the estimated reward is different from the reward you earn. It is just the same as the past few months.

On my GT1030 mining brings 2 coins per day, before the update it was 1, plus the price is growing steadily. I’m not greedy and in no hurry, I’ll sell coins after halving block rewards. The update is successful, but you can also make a trade, I think price will go up to 540 satoshis.

I waited for DASH to grow 3 years from 2014 to 2017, I don’t see a problem to wait here, I think that this coin will only grow and develop. Although I could be wrong.

I dont think either FPGAs are big of a deal currently, they are still very decentralized, more accessible to everyone then ASICs and also not so efficient in terms price per hash.

Mining RVN with Nvidia cards has climbed to top 5 in profitability from yielding negative returns after power expenses pre fork,

so the ASIC resistance goal of the fork looks to be decisively accomplished; it will be interesting to see how long GPU mining profitability can be sustained for Ravencoin in its current version...
Will be interesting to so for how long it will take for ASICs to return on Raven. They have to do these forks more often like Monero, where making Asic miner for it will only cost money so people will stop to do it.

fpga haven't returned back.

I don't see any changes after the algo upgraded to x16r2v the difficulty still the same so I am thinking if they actually take down all fpga miners? Look at the difficulty they are still the same as before except for September graph. Since FPGA is mining for a long time I don't see any changes and no improvements.

Look at the graph from here https://miningpoolstats.stream/ravencoin

The only thing that I noticed is the reward increased.

Upgrade your miners and start hashing till asics and fpga haven't returned back.
Waiting for network to stabilize to see most accurate profits.
So far profits seems to increase.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DzjGl0zHRQ&feature=youtu.be

The network hash rate dropped off quite a bit, so it will be interesting to see how long it takes people to reprogram their FPGA cards and start mining on the new algo. Looks like profits are similar to Zcoin now although it has been bouncing around and may take some time to stabilize like you mentioned.

Yes seems like network hashrate has stabilized at 6 th/s , so 70% mining Ravencoin was ASIC and FPGA. I do not think that FPGA is that big of a deal, i heard some of the FPGA CVP-13 can still mine RAVENcoin but only about 50mh/s average. Updated Bit-stream 300mh/s should be ready next week.
