So Xapo just announced that will help members decide for BTC or BCC in case a fork happens and Coinbase says it will only support the strongest coin.
I am planning in moving some funds to Xapo, seems the better option for this happening, don't you guys think?

My first wallet was coinbase. I changed to Xapo and i am very happy with this decision. I think Xapo suits me better for 2 reasons. First; i use faucets and Xapo faucets are faster to claim from and usually don`t use anti-bot links and they also pay instantly. Second; Xapo is providing Bitcoin debit card which means you can spend your Bitcoins anywehere regular card payments are accepted.
Xapo's support is kinda bad but once i heard that online wallets are not safe because they only provided you with a wallet address no private key. When they go offline or down, you have absolutely no access to ur btc. I prefer electrum/bitcoin core
I totally agree that is true that once they are gone so are your coins. No private key accessible on Xapo site.I recently have this happen with another site but luckily they provide a place to get your private key.

Why go with a company when there are better options under your control? Look at the terms and condtions those guys have published. It makes for an alarming read.

If you look at their TOS both companies suck. I use Coinbase but only for the wallet service they provide.
With CC i am anxious to use any party when it comes down to bitcoin.

Both are good, both offer good services including xapo which has bitcoin debit cards, but both of them do not offer you the private key of your address which means that you do not control 100% your bitcoins, sometimes i use coinbase as they have the mobile client.

Coinbase. Xapo is for faucet farmers, who make a couple of cents a week. Disgraceful. No one should stoop down that low.

I'll go with xapo. my preferred bitcoin wallet, I just love xapo because it is very secured and trusted, every time when we do a transaction xapo automatically change our btc address and gives us a new btc address for better security. I just love this part of xapo. I used both of them and found xapo is much better then coinbase.

I would say Coinbase is better. Xapo sometimes delays a transaction and also it fails o broadcast a transaction sometimes.
Meanwhile Coinbase's vault is much better than Xapo. Easy and quick to be precise.
Yes I noticed that just yesterday as well. There was a Delay in receiving even the security notification so you can sent the bitcoins in the first place. It has to be cancel 3 times before it was sent to me. Annoying when you are sent a lot of coins. Meanwhile Coinbase's vault is much better than Xapo. Easy and quick to be precise.

First of all they're not online wallets, they're wallet service providers, there's a difference, with a wallet you'd have the private keys, both Xapo and Coinbase don't give you your private keys, so if for some reason their site is offline, you wouldn't be able to access your funds.
If you must use an online wallet then Bitgo might be a safer choice, although I'd recommend you to not use any web-wallets but use a desktop one like electrum/multibit/core etc.
Coinbase is the better service. But be careful - they comply with US regulations, so they monitor where you send your coins. Don't use them to send coins to a gambling destination for instance. Just use coinbase for normal shopping and another wallet for everything else.
If you like to gamble with your Bitcoin don't use Coinbase. They blocking people for gambling like you can read on this forum.
Yes, both coinbase and Xapo are good in my experience. One of my friend has suggested for xapo to use bitcoin for gambling, you do not need to pay any fee for sending money from your Xapo wallet. There are other a number of options also for that purpose.

both of them are bad services for me, i always prefer a wallet that i have access to private keys if anything happens i can have my bitcoins.
but if i have to choose between these two i would choose Coinbase. the services they both offer are somewhat similar so there is no difference for me there so i choose Coinbase because it is an older more popular service and i like the looks of the site.

As per others replies it would be depend on how you gonna use it, for me both of them works if you'll gonna use it as a temp storage of your coin but if you gonna store your coin for good much better not to use web based wallet, and if you a faucet lovers and a gambler much better to use xapo because coinbase will banned you if found out that you are using it for gambling.

I think xapo is more of a novelity bitcoin wallet as if you see their website it is kind of like a gamer site.
And the ceo puts up messages as updates to users about playing mobile app games which you don't see on coinbase.
So it is up to your preference if you want serious of a gaming type site to hold your coins.

Have never used both because I prefer MyCelium over them. I've heard of a lot of bad remarks about both of them too - mostly Xapo. I'd suggest you to go with Coinbase because it have more reputation among Bitcoiners. I'd suggest you to go with MyCelium if you want a portable and fast wallet. Check out MultiBit if you don't mind having a downloaded wallet which will be more secure.
i had been use these wallet several times but now i had decided to not use it anymore because i feel not comfortable using these wallet and about your questions i guess we will find a variety of answers here because i think both are good and it all back to yourself which wallet will do you use
