The current fix requires an update for the old client.We are working on a fix for the new one only but that requires making it somewhat broken like the old one.
The old client has a "broken" handshake, so the new client needs to be changed in the same way. This is not unsurprising really considering the issue getting 0.13 talking to 0.7.
So we change the new client to do the handshake the same as the old one.
