Happy new month, block reward halving in next 36 hours.
This month new community stuff will be presented.
This month new updated client will be available with fixing all minor issues, like mining on core i3 CPU.
This month new DarkNofe web resources will be available.
This month we will keep hard work on DarkNote network improvements and new features/
This month we will help lots of new XDN projects.
This month is a month with 1250 XDN block reward, almost x10 times more than XDN minimum block reward.
Stay tuned.

Block reward has went down. XDN looks underpriced to me, mining is becoming less profitable so my guess is that everyone will buy XDN instead of mine. Same picture can be seen (for a while now) in Bitcoin.

Some nice trading stats. Starting with Poloniex:

1. Historical XDN trade volume (2014/06/23 - 2015/02/04)  7,100,674,230.72 XDN (Only Poloniex data)
2. Historical BTC trade volume   (2014/06/23 - 2015/02/04) 911,1 BTC (Only Poloniex data)

Also, does network transactions include that of exchange buys and sells?

Network transactions include all  XDN units and/or messages transfers. User to user, User to service, Service to Service, etc - all possible transfers.

Actual network transactions include only "real" transactions, but not "Generation transaction". E.G. If block has only 1 generation transaction = +1250XDN (current block reward), means that block was just mined and do not include any other transactions, that block and that transaction WILL NOT be included in Actual transactions list.

We are working on progressive DarkNote stats, here are some research, before it is public:

Based on blocks 1 to 88000:

1. Average difficulty: 130 423 399
2. Average hashrate: 543 431 H/S
3. Average block size: 7693 byte
4. Average median size: 4004 byte
5. Average tx count: 4
6. Fee sum: 1946 105 XDN
7. Penalty sum: 194008095 XDN - 1293387 minimal (150XDN) blocks. Actually about +10 years of mining with 150 XDN min block reward.
8. Total network transactions: 350389
9. Actual Network transactions (Total Network transactions - tx generation):  262389
10. Network time: 249 days
11. Actual 24h transactions volume: 1053

What is Penalty Sum?

Also, does network transactions include that of exchange buys and sells?

Each CryptoNote coin has a Reward_Penalty specifications.
When some kind of "bad" big block is produced the reward will be under penalty.
There is a spec, called median size, if some block size is above that median size, reward is under penalty, penalty depends on size of the block.
Penalty sum is a sum of all penalties from 1 to 88000 block. That amount of XDN had to be mined, but was not mined due to the described above penalties.
But DarkNote Max coin value will always be =  8 589 869 056 XDN - perfect number.
So Penalty sum: 194008095 XDN. Minimum block reward is a constant value = 150 XDN.
Means it will takes  194008095/150= 1293387 blocks with minimum block reward value(150XDN) to reach that amount that was under penalty from 1 to 88000 block.
((1293387blocks*4min)/60min)/24hours = 3592 days = 9.8 year.

But we are working on PoW/PoS Hybrid, so min_block reward may be increased for PoS part of scheme.

I don't think so. Exchanges IMO work with Accounts, not Wallets individually.

I've been lurking around BCT for awhile now and have never posted.  Have mined a few different coins and DarkNote is the first one that my gut tells me will be something special.  I want my first post on this forum to be in support of DarkNote.  Amazing work guys.

1. You can research the XDN difficulty chart,  ask forum folks here about mining XDN since 1st block. Ask smooth, seems he liked XDN and mined it since first blocks and he can confirm that.

It is true that I mined XDN from the beginning and there was no premine. However, you will note that tacotime didn't claim a premine, he claimed an instamine. Now on that score I must still respectfully disagree with him and agree with you. An instamine generally refers to the case where difficulty adjustment doesn't happen kick in and an enormous number of coins are mined quickly at very low difficulty (for example, DRK, where 25% were mined on the first day or something). The XDN difficulty adjustment worked well and the number of coins mined at the beginning was more or less in line with the published schedule, so I wouldn't call that an instamine.

It is also true that one month for reward having is an extremely fast reward schedule. I'd more properly call that a "fast mine."  Finally, it is also true that the ducknote->darknote rebrand, which one might imagine was planned from the start, happened after a few of these reward cuts meaning the bulk of the coins had been mined by the time the somewhat silly meme branding that many dismissed (though I did indeed like) was taken off and the more credible branding added. I understand that you have claimed other reasons for this reward schedule, yet the fact remains that nearly all of the coins were mined before darkNote existed.

P.S. Various comments are made and opinions expressed on the forum. Is it really necessary to respond in such a hostile and defensive manner when you disagree with something?

P.P.S. Are you affiliated with bytecoin or cryptonote in any way?

Thank you very much, smooth, you are a very honest person, and explain everything as accurate as i wanted you to do it.

P.S. I am passionate person, i tell what i think, sorry for inconvenience.

P.P.S. Sure man, as any other CN coin, DarkNote devs use most parts of Bytecoin source code, and as we can see the quality of BCN code, and truly respect the way CryptoNote was implemented in BCN. So we try to  keep DarkNote source code updated with Bytecoin original repository, although, since the beginning of XDN we claimed as a group of independent devs, who meet CN technology and BCN itself at the middle of our own cryptocurrency development process. We switched to CN and implemented DarkNote XDN economy with Bytecoin original source code. We added new features to CryptoNote, like original reward structure, because XDN reward structure is totally not about CryptoNote reward structure, because it was invented long before we meet CryptoNote and Bytecoin.

DarkNote price is 35 satoshi  Cool

I'm certain that the price will be going upwards next week too. Maybe 50 satoshi's or so. DarkNote is in trend at the moment - Poloniex today has a 8 BTC buy volume.

With block reward lowering we will see a rise. Another great thing is active dev who doesnt just aid in coin issues but from what I have observed takes his time to help others with projects, like the new book store that accepts darknote. Im very happy to have been apart of this from the beginning.
