I've been trying this with the Google Cloud and what im finding is that sometimes my miners break, I have to restart them and then manually start minerd again.

Is there a way to have the miner start on startup within Debian? Apologies im not very good with linux. If there is then it would just be a case of having to stop and start the miner every so often (or even schedule a reboot every 24hrs with a script)

The only way is to try them all i am with suprnova they are not paying that good i have i7 2600k   and i am getting 4 a day if i am lucky i will try them all to see what what......i will post my finding on here 

HI! People, I used to mine on nonce-pool and get something about 100 XMG/week per 100 KH/s.
But this pool is intended to close. All others give me a half of benfit, supnova for example.
Why and which pool you think I should prefer?

I have reduced the response time when speed settings are changed and ironed out a few things, but best of all is the addition of Sweet Spot targeting in this edition, with the kind permission of NeedIfFindIt who provides the data feed that makes it possible.

This is a self-extracting Zip file which unzips to folder C:\XMGminer\MinerSpeed by default. Run the exe, extract to default folder and then run C:\XMGminer\MinerSpeed\Setup.bat which will create a startup file and desktop icon for you. Enjoy.

The utility works very well and CPU usage percentage settings are very accurate, but you might see the occasional error message from the miner when speed limiting is applied. The most common error messages are "stratum_recv_line failed", "Stratum connection interrupted" and "JSON decode failed" but the miner recovers automatically and it is not really a problem.

New Windows Mining Software Release

32 bit and 64 bit Windows supported.

No, it is not a faster miner (you wish). What we have here is a bunch of packages suitable for beginners/novices/newbies to get up and running with pool mining in double-quick time. They are essentially cut-down versions of my Autominer without pool fail-over (*) or the ability to divide the hashing power across multiple pools.

There is a package available for each of the current XMG mining pools. The software will start a single instance of the miner and run a number of threads equal to the number of processors in your computer by default, but you can choose a lower number if required. The software runs the miner at LOW priority.

I have designed the packages to live alongside each other in the same folder as my Autominer package i.e C:\XMGminer so that they will share a single copy of the minerd binaries. Also, the distribution packages below do not include the minerd binaries so that the initial download does not trigger any anti-virus warnings. The minerd binaries are downloaded automatically if they do not already exist on your computer and a warning about possible interference from anti-virus software is issued before the download starts.

All these have the same look and feel, since they are virtually the same code. Download the package for the required mining pool and run the executable. This is a self-extracting Zip file which unzips to C:\XMGminer by default. Once unzipped, run the setup file, which is a subtly different name depending on which package you have:-

Magipool: Run C:\XMGminer\MPsetup.bat

Maxminers: Run C:\XMGminer\MXsetup.bat

Noncepool: Run C:\XMGminer\NPsetup.bat

Suprnova: Run C:\XMGminer\SNsetup.bat

XMGpool: Run C:\XMGminer\Xsetup.bat (note: not XPsetup.bat I did not like the sound of that)

You will need to provide your pool username, worker name and worker password. After that you get the choice of how many threads you want to run (default = number of processors), then it asks if you want any custom minerd switches (default = none). The software creates a startup file for you and creates a desktop icon for it.

The whole procedure can be completed in under a minute, provided that you have set up your mining pool account beforehand.

The software also includes options to run an operational test, a benchmark, to download the whole package again and to download the latest minerd binaries, which will come in useful if/when I update the minerd.

(*) I lied. The code does actually include some lines to provide for fail-over to one other pool but I have not implemented it in this release. They "fail-over" to the same pool. If you know a good bit of Windows command line programming you should be able to spot it and implement pool failover just by editing a single line of code. Now there's a challenge for you.

Not much info to go on there. "per round" does not mean anything to me and 4 computers also tells me nothing - it is the total hashrate from those computers that is important. If you are mining on the pools, try mining on a pool with fewer workers/total hashrate and see what the effect is. I find personally that mining on Noncepool with a low hashrate is a waste of effort these days. Remember also that the block rewards with XMG are very variable. If/when XMG is being over-mined, the block rewards can drop to almost zero, which is a design feature to discourage big miners.

I tried to mine with 4 computers, only with 0.003 magi per round... THATS TOO LITTLE!
If you mine Cryptonight with my cpus, like Bytecoin, Quarzcoin etc you get much more profit...

A small question : can I except something from a Raspberry Pi 2 ?

The most likely reason for having problems only in Multiplex mode is the Worker configuration. If you choose Single Worker then it should function much the same as Simplex mode. If you choose Multiple Workers then it requires prior setup on the mining pool. Multiple Workers needs multiple workers! These should be numbered sequentially e.g Worker0, Worker1, Worker2, Worker4 etc and the starting number (zero in this case) has to be specified to the Setup.bat configuration.

New Windows XMG Magi Mining Software Release

I wanted the fastest possible Windows miner. I thought I could do even better than before but got bogged down in details. So I contacted the Vulcans for their purely logical take on things, but they just kept on muttering about the High Council having decreed that time travel was impossible so no joy there. I tried using The Force, but was tempted by the Dark Side and had to turn back. Finally I had a word with a young bespectacled boy who taught me how to use a birch twig. I waved it about in front of my compiler, shouted "Gofasteramus" and there was this bright flash of blue light with smoke everywhere. When the smoke had cleared, I had a newer, faster generic minerd.exe which needed no dll files at all plus two even faster minerd.exes to support CPUs with the AVX and AVX2 instruction sets. Whoa that's a result

So, armed with these and the 32 bit miner, plus the fact we now have 6 mining pools to choose from, it was time to re-write the entire support suite. I have now included all the 32 bit and 64 bit stuff in one package. The new autominer will support up to 8 mining pools and spread your hashing power among them if you want. It will auto-detect your CPU and version of Windows and select the appropriate minerd.exe for you. It has never been easier.

The new software is available now on the usual links. Please note that the 32 bit and 64 bit versions are now one and the same thing, but I have maintained all the old links for compatibility, only changing the names to protect the innocent.

This last link contains only two files, Setup.bat and wget.exe. Download, extract and run Setup.bat. Simples. This new package does not over-write your Myminer.bat file, nor any minerd.exe or dlls in the installation folder. It is fully compatible with your existing Myminer.bat file and will run up just the way it did before, only better. To gain the full benefits from this release, you will need to run the Setup.bat which creates a new Myminer.bat file for you.

Now because some anti-virus software dislikes stuff like wget.exe and minerd.exe, you will probably need to disable your anti-virus temporarily to allow the installation to proceed unhindered, then add an exception in the anti-virus to ignore the mining software in future. Other than that, it ought to work like a dream.

Any problems, then please report here and I will try to advise. Don't just tell me you "get an error" - be specific or I might just ignore you

1. Ensure Xcode and the command line tools are installed.

2. Download and Install MacPorts: http://www.macports.org/install.php

4. Compile minerd

The following package is purely for simplicity. I didn't yet compare the hash rate, so it may not give you the best result, but the interface is pretty straightforward. It's not a re-compilation of the source code, but rather a collection of a few minerds, to allow one to choose from a menu. The basic running is the same as using command line parameters; I will do some optimizations later on.

1) Set up a VPS server.

8232 is rpcport, rpcuser and rpcpass are user and password you set in magi.conf
set to a number, matching with the threads of your needs.

Coin Magi (XMG) utilizes a unique M7M algorithm that allows only CPU Mining. XMG also has at the first time implemented a particularly designed block rewarding system to enable FAIRNESS in the distribution of coins among miners. By removing the competitive nature of mining, XMG offers an even playing field for anyone looking to mine cryptocurrencies without expensive equipment.
