Wow - they sure took their time with that, but better late than never I guess.

Anyone here know if wallets can be affected by the upcoming hardfork on March 9th?

Affected as in?

As in errors or quit working.

Edit - also wondering how anonymous Monero is coming from a Coinomi wallet?

One of their devs stated that Coinomi would be sufficiently prepared for the upcoming scheduled protocol upgrade:

I don't blame you for being concerned about the fork.
But it's not the wallet software that's at risk.
If something bad happens at the fork, it won't be a glitch with your wallet software.
If something bad happens at the fork, it could be much worse than that.  It could be a 51% attack, with double spends.
Your concern about the wallet not working is misplaced.  If that's all you're worried about, you can put your mind at rest.
By the way, linux CLI 14.0.0 daemon and wallet work great.  I'm using it now.

Crypto has to be anonymous like BTC, ETH and should never represent a company.

That's true. I don't understand how a "decentralised network" can have a CEO.

Monero perhaps will gain #1 spot for anonymity.

It already has that.

The question is how can a decentralized network of this kind come into existence without a CEO in the beginning? Someone has to start it although the role of that someone should be in line with what we envision as a "decentralized" network. You need governance as well.

Is this a bought account? You can't possible have been here since June 03, 2014 and not know the answer to that.

Bitcoin never had a CEO, and neither did Monero.

I dont know about cryptonightR but i hope it can prevent asic/fpga for longer time at least.
Lets see if monero can deal with them or not. They have big competition with grin beam zcash and etc ...
I like to see monero on the top 10 market cap because its really unique in terms of privacy.

Zcash had been doing lot of funny things like renaming to electric coin company etc this is not a good sign for the future the coin . Crypto has to be anonymous like BTC, ETH and should never represent a company. Monero perhaps will gain #1 spot for anonymity.
