Guys how do think, after total crypto dump that lasts since Nov 14 on all the exchanges, XMR hashrate does grow. Today ~500Mh/s. Why?

Someone had some extra gpus and decided they have electricity that is either worth a loss or they are hodling their newly mined coins? Tongue

In my opinion monero is one of the best private coin at the moment and I'm sure monero is private enough to make your transaction not traceable and the fact in the dark web they still using monero for the transaction.

https doesn't hide the fact that i'm using https so that's why i don't use encryption because everyone is trying to crack encryption so i just don't use encryption because no one is looking at unencrypted data because everyone wants encrypted data to crack

Not true, unecrypted data gets data mined for keywords it just takes less time than weakly encrypted.

Yes, but you can't always trust this tactic.Someone who knows personally that you have a crypto can come out. I mean, they might know where to look.

Any block explorers up to date? I see chainradar.com and moneroexplorer.com are not.

Either of these are up to date:

Are you syncing to an SSD? A resync from scratch may be worthwhile to ensure best performance going forward. Also, are you using the CLI or the GUI?

Yes, I am. I used the link above and redid the chain and now it's fine.

I was using the GUI, but I had a bug in the wallet that I could not understand and so I went back to the CLI. I would try and explain it but I probably couldn't.

In any event, I'm back up and running, thanks for all the help everyone!! Mooonero ftw!! Cheesy

Perhaps you should give GUI v0.13.0.4 a try? Lots of bugs were fixed in this version.

I have been and am still on that version, so yeah... There are still bugs to be found... This one was just too hard to explain let alone recreate.... Roll Eyes

Software will never be bug free :-P Do you remember any of the error messages that were displayed?

You can always make a vid of you screen if you can recreate issues with a new wallet, or one you don't mind tossing..

CamStudio - Free Screen Recording Software

I wish I had that at the time, but it was a new install of windows, and at this point, I'm pretty sure it was just a local corruption issue.  Tongue

I've restored it since in the CLI from seed and it's fine now.

All these errors are very annoying, but we understand that you cannot ideally make changes without changing the code itself. Many users have not updated Windows as well as different versions. And all this together leads to the fact that a small part will always have problems. But it is good that the community monero quickly helps.

Dear Monero community. We, a team of enthusiasts, are pleased to inform you about our project https://mrchats.info/ which logs all important telegram chats related to Monero. We believe that Monero Chats will be a valuable addition to the Monero ecosystem. During the work of the site, we have already received a large number of positive feedback from community members. The project is under active development. The project has its own team of programmers, ready at any time to solve new technical problems and make new improvements.

What is implemented at the moment:
You can read your favorite chats in a convenient form for you through https://mrchats.info/ The site is optimized for work also on mobile devices. There is a search by keyword and date. It is possible to read the chat you want in your native language using Google Translate. The translation is not perfect, but it will allow you to receive the latest news as quickly as possible from the first sources. For example, you can use our site to read Russian, English, Italian and other versions of Monero telegram chat.

In the near future, we plan to add the ability to share a specific telegram post in social networks. On the one hand, this will allow you to share interesting content with your friends and subscribers, and on the other hand, it will positively influence the development of Monero’s popularity as a whole.

There is a lot of work ahead, we have planned a huge number of interesting and useful improvements. If you have any suggestions for improving our site, please write - we will try to take everything into account and use it in the further development of the site.

If you think that some important chat related to Monero is missing on our site, please write and we will add it.

1. Have you tried restarting the daemon?

2. Do you have sufficient free disk space?

3. Are there any errors in bitmonero.log?

1 Yes many times
2. Yes 90GB
3. Not that I can really see. Let me tail it for a while and I'll post back. It's odd because it appears to be eating a lot of bandwith, and the percent has moved to 95 but it still says i'm on that same block...

Thanks for your help as always - back shortly....

@owlcatz, as an option you can download blockhain via torrent from here: https://xmr.ru/blockchain/, and then import it.

Oh, damn, thank you!!! I can't figure this out and it's still stuck!!! Sad
