I've had my coins for a long time, and gave it a few hours of thought tonight...I'm out.  It would take a full rebranding, deletion of fluffy, coin name change and a lot of time for me to even consider supporting or using XMR.  Maybe I'll be back then, but we were already behind the times with the GUI wallet, branding, site, etc.  Bytecoin is better than this now in my mind, and in retrospect the distribution of Monero was bullshit.  If you think about it, it was announced on this site and yea at the time that seems like a large announcement...in the reality of things and the world it is not.  You can't say that then turn around and say Bytecoin has poor distribution when its been 10 satoshi and steadily minable for literally years.  Time has changed the circumstances in many ways.  Many others would prefer DASH to Monero, I'm sure.  I know I'm very keen on ZEC and upcoming ETH(ZEC) as the more professional anonymous solution.

Beware of people who keeps shouting about the moral high ground.

The precipe of government meddling. Guess we are reaching that stage of supposedly decentralised open and permissionless networks with 'free' players.

What I really would like to understand is what does FP's "epic trolling" gain anyone? Like what was the advantage to this vs. not doing this? It seems pretty clear cut that simply doing nothing would have been a superior choice. He has a pretty powerful megaphone, if he wanted to send a message about PnD shitcoin scams, he could have just written up his thoughts and any of a half dozen zines would have given him front page real estate.

It's a power trip, his ego is too big, and for a takeover dev who didn't create monero himself, it's pathetic.

Make Bitcoin glow with ENIAC

FP is the Donald Trump of PnD. What you think you're seeing is actually what you're seeing.

Beware of people who keeps shouting about the moral high ground.

Especially in Crypto.

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
Although I expected a dump after the announcement, I am disappointed that there was none.
Let's see how big the dump is going to be...
...And it was not nice. Monero needs more good news, whether they are announced grandiosely or not.

Here's a thread just for this discussion, what are your opinions?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1932227.new#new

It is better to have the discussion here where people come for info about Monero. They need to know about the idiots on the Monero Team and the complete disregard they have for those that invest, mine and support Monero.  That little gimmick will not be brushed under the rug.

Monero price is almost lower now than a week ago and I suspect it will continue to fall.  There are several of us that are also contacting the major exchanges to see about getting it delisted.  Most respectable exchanges do not want to be associated with this type of behavior.  But do not worry, Yobit and C-Cex will most likely keep it on. Grin

Holy shit son the more you post the more retarded you sound.

Let me make this clear, NO exchange that lists Monero will delist it Period, only a FOOL would think that would happen in any foreseeable future where the tech is sound.

And afa as your continually trashing of the  Monero Team, Maybe your just too stupid to realize that Riccardo is not the Team and is just one DEV and the others had no part in this.

So stop the hand waving and spittle dripping and post like an adult or your just going to join the trolls on the ignore list. Just because FP acted like a child it doesn't mean you have to as well.

What happn? Monero was a scam? Anyone can link the video or the announcement?

The announcement was the scam(No announcement).  There is a fair amount of butt hurt going on as a result.  Somewhat justified, somewhat overblown, time to move on.  Monero is still the best private, fungible currency.

I see you promote Monero.  Well when the "Team" makes a false announcement to Pump up the price and drop their holdings it takes away from the project.  As the Fat Fuck said, it is an Open Source Project.  Therefore the statement "Monero is still the best private, fungible currency." means it can cloned from the Open Source Project and be " the best private, fungible currency" WITHOUT the fucking scammers attached to it.

I sort of feel like I'm betraying monero, but I'm with this guy - fuck you Ric, you fucked up bigtime.  Roll Eyes

My thoughts on this.

Ok so they didn't deliver on one announcement... so what. Does anyone here actually have proof the devs dumped their coins or is this just another shilling?

Do some research, they promoted a big announcement knowing there wasn't one.

Ok well if you're so passionately motivated to defame Monero, why don't you just paste the link that's open in your other tab to the source supporting that claim?

Here you go , shit for brains.  Roll Eyes

I've already seen the twitter post, that does nothing to prove they devs are dumping their own coins.

For fuck sake, if you have followed fluffypony at all over the years you would know this is exactly in character. He hates the pump-and-dump speculator scene and would have nothing to do with it other than pranking about it.

rpietila blew up his Crypto Kingdom game, but he's gone bonkers with a mental illness ... if fluffypony still has his marbles intact then he takes first prize as XMR community suicide bomber now.

+1
A jihadist knows the goal is to blow up the enemy, they don't walk into ISIS HQ and set off their bomb vest, not unless they're a double agent working for the CIA.
