So, Mastermined710 is spreading this about XMR being cripplemined over on this sub-thread in r/Bitcoin (the post I'm linking to is referring to DASH, just so there's no confusion. Mastermined710 posts further down): https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4r2gn9/amanda_b_johnson_im_a_car_salesman_dash_pumper/d4xu0wp

Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
Hueristic is our resident skeptic and if you look at recent postings ITT you see that his skepticism includes the core devs.  This is a good thing even if it sometimes seems a bit over the top.

Knowing nothing about you I also had a similar reaction.  I don't know what you are used to in regards to compensation for your contributions.  Here many people volunteer their time, skills and Moneroj to develop and improve Monero.

If somebody wants to be compensated for doing work they can write up a proposal and post it on the FFS (forum funding system) of the Monero website.  It is up to the community to determine if the proposal is something they deem worthy of funding.  The funding is through voluntary donations.

And don't forget Card carrying member of the tinfoil hat club! ;P

Why Monero there is slowly growing, I think it grows so slowly, because the production of coins is not irregular but smooth.

Here is an interesting question:

When RingCT is implemented and deployed will there be a flood of transactions to move monero at particular addresses used when amounts were visible to new addresses?

Seems like a plausible scenario.

Monero is like a sun half way setting...

You can see a portion of its information but you can't see everything (until RingCT). Once RingCT is deployed it will be as if the sun set on the digital world of visibility with Monero.

Kind of like the scene from Pitch Black

ermagerd that scene is so epic. love pitch black and chronicles. dude totally dropped the ball with riddick. ah well.

Guys, what is the future of this coin? For the next six months or a year. What it was significant in this coin implemented for recently?

The futre is nigh!

here's a design and development goals map. And im gonna do some wallpapering, hope no one minds.

What it was significant in this coin implemented for recently?

If you're trying to figure out why the price is jumping, good luck. And its more on topic in the speculation thread. But honestly, there's many good answers and one most probable answer. The good answers - Monero is an actual cryptocurrency with some great properties. Recently the dev team has focused on database stability and optimization. Monero can now run on almost anything with very minimal resources. There's also a GUI coming around the corner and Ring CT - Ring confidential transactions, which will now hide the transaction amount.  The more probable reason is that someone, or some group, is pumping the coin.

hitbtc is now using integrated address for Monero, pretty cool.

Nice! Props to them for implementing that. It is a great usability and privacy feature.

Looks like your just looking for hand outs to me. But I don't follow dash so there's that. Monero is a volunteer funded project, hence the slow pace.

Ouch bro that hurts... everyone else is over here being supportive and you're trying to say I'm just here for cash... dang... sorry i made you feel that way.

Monero has been expanding its community lately. Is there some news I missed? Seems like it has been doing rather well considering the atmosphere.

StackExchange proposal going beta
Cryptopia XMR base pair

Also, don't forget the power of stability.  While other coins burn their candles at both ends, Monero just rolls along, like Katamari Damacy and gains slow and steady users.  And our users generally have an understanding of why Cryptonote technology is better than anything else going.

Interesting how every big software library creator/developer seem to fall in love with Monero.

Whats the context? Which software library creator? Oh you mean these 0MQ and ZMTP discussions?

Must be from where it's inherited from. I don't know the code but this may help.
https://github.com/monero-project/bitmonero/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=real_output_index+

Code:
 bool generate_key_image_helper(const account_keys& ack, const crypto::public_key& tx_public_key, size_t real_output_index, keypair& in_ephemeral, crypto::key_image& ki);
  void get_blob_hash(const blobdata& blob, crypto::hash& res);

Yes that is the same function header to the function where real_output_index is referenced in relation to calculating key images.
