i apologize, my original suggestion was confusing. It was just to run an i2p node.. not a monero node through i2p. The first is easy and helps increase the speed and privacy of the i2p network, the second is kinda convoluted and doesn't really do much of anything for anybody at the current moment.

Also if there is any pitfalls or things to note to successfully run a monero node with i2p.

I don't like to pretend to know much so I like it when I can have things ELI5.

hrm, I meant run an i2p router node (as in, contribute to the i2p infrastructure)... not a monero node on i2p (because at the moment this is technically challenging). But if people can pull it off, why not?

I am proud of what the Monero community has accomplished so far, but lots of work remains!

A. Run an i2p node.

B. be active on irc #monero and #monero-pools. People mining monero are dumped to #monero-pools for mining support, and others end up at #monero for other support. We generally have a good "tech support staff" available, but there are some gaps.

The community needs to be as active as possible so that Monero developers can continue to focus on development.
