Back in here, damn so much new population !! many of who will soon disapear being but hurt by a short term loss.
Monero will probably continue to trend lower (just broke a quite important support) because damn, gravity exists.
but probably as usual with this coin, the old guys bag holding the coin will finish as winner (unless another anonymous coin comes with better features, does zcash represents a threat btw?)

if you want an anonymous coin that's owned by a bunch of corporate suits and is probably not that anonymous to US federal agencies, then I'd say zcash is a serious threat. The futures market price is now close to parity with XMR and they are miles ahead interms of online hype and marketing.
Cheers for the heads up. I remember about that now, and i've read somewhere that a "zcash classic" could be built, don't think it'll change something if it's the same code.
Looks like i shouldn't have sold for 0.0135. I think a general strategy is
-don't buy unless you are confortable holding it for the price even if it goes down
-avoid buying too much during one day, limit yourself bo 0.1BTC maybe.
-transfer your funds to your wallet and keep kalm, dont try to predict the price(you only end up making poloniex rich by paying fees).
I bough some XMR back higher, i will now wait until tomorrow before i do anything. Hoping for a crash, might happen. Trading with ADHD really sucks.

As it seems there are people that sold 300k. Since they had them for quite some time it is highly to expected they will buy them back. Maybe even more then only 300k. At soem times when there is not much supply getting 300k XMR is a quite hard achievement.

i did not lose money. i did not buy any Monero. Because it was too late. but a lot of other people bought at the pike and lost a lot until today.
It will go up again - and higher.

Ignore the price, find an income stream so that you do not have to sell your XMR to buy bread and dairy products.
Then buy XMR and hold.

it is right that train has already smoke..but i see this coin better ltc or dash to the futur..so maybe isn't good moment to buy it because pumper are in the pool..but wait than devs dispatch guy.. to than bag holders fill their digital pig..golum doesn't loose her précious

In order to avoid selling at loss it is recommended by the specialists that you do not store your coins in places it is easy to liquadate them. Just buy and hold outside of the exchanges.

Your "loss" is someone elses profit. And if you don't sell for less than you paid, you too will profit. Unfortunately your timing was poor, to say the least and you are likely to be waiting some weeks (months?) before you see that profit. Read up on trading while you learn the reality of HODLing.
look at the graph, the only reason it isn't falling faster is due to noobs like me buying now after the price has fallen 40% http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/monero/ i sold all mine now at a loss, i blame my adhd for my buys at 1350...1550
