Just wanted to say that I was not aware of this post when I started supportXMR.com only mere weeks after you posted this. If I would have come across this post back then, I would have thought you are full of shit and just started the pool anyway. "how hard can it be?", as Jeremy Clarkson liked to put it.

One of the miners on my pool posted the link to this post yesterday... What can I say. This story is so absolutely spot on, it's like you watched me for a year, then stepped in the DeLorean and travel back to 2016 to tell the story of my pool.

Thank you for this! Smiley

You are welcome ! happy to see you succeed to read ulimit manual pages Smiley

Hi
I followed this https://blockgen.net/setup-your-own-mining-pool/ and
I had very hard time with nodejs-encyclopedia-panopticum, but I managed to start it.
The software has it's problems, as you can see all pools url's posted in this thread, none works.

http://xmr.mockingjaysoft.com  - site timeouts
http://xmr.ciz.me/ - this is some crap
http://www.xmr.life/  - api 8 backend is down
http://pul.mine.nu/ - still sinking nodes

www.XMR.life - 0.7% pool fees.

Server is paid up for three years - So you don't have to worry about your pool going offline next week!

Any suggestions on site are always appreciated.

Have fun mining!!

We just launched a new monero pool with low fees(0.6%) following these guidances, thanks.

http://xmr.mockingjaysoft.com

Why I use this pool:

  • Low Fees (only 0.6%)
  • Better luck for mining a block that most pools
  • Several Monero Nodes to increase resilience and luck
  • Updated to Monero 0.10.2
