Pepe wonders, has there ever been a primecoin android wallet?

There hasn't been any Android wallet developed yet, but I would like to have a grasp at one and be able to store my XPM anywhere. If XPM could just get the attention it deserves, we could see many innovations that would lead the path towards long term survival of the cryptocurrency.

Nevertheless, if the XPM wallet for Android gets developed, then I'm sure that it would help increase its awareness and attract more users into the cryptocurrency. I'm looking forward for something big to happen in Primecoin, thus I have been investing into it ever since hoping that one day it could rise once more and stand out against other cryptocurrencies.   Smiley

will the new wallet come out?

As well as you are, I'm anxious to see a new and improved wallet for Primecoin. This has been one of my favorite altcoins of all time, but it seems that development stopped for quite some time. I wonder if the dev could deliver us new and exciting things in order to increase XPM usability and popularity.

Also, Primecoin has a truly innovative way of mining unlike any other Proof of Work coin. It just needs improvement in order to make the mining ecosystem more efficient than ever. There is a post around here that leads to an article about an efficient way of solving prime numbers. If this gets implemented into the newest iteration of Primecoin, then it would be great.  Smiley

Pepe is NOT a hate symbol
May I ask, Pepe wants to know what is the official name of the POW Hash algorithm used by primecoin?

Other coins have clear short names like SHA-256, X11, Scrypt, etc... but I fail to find any information about what the name of primecoin's hash algorithm actually is.

Is there any? Or is it just "that thingy with the prime numbers"

Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to mine this on Nvidia GPUs?
Only Pascal (GTX1070 and 1080) shows a good performance, but ethereum more than 50-60% profitable on these GPUs.

This could cause changes in prime seeking algorithm

XPM mining just got a shot  Smiley

This could definitely improve XPM PoW algorithm and make it more efficient. The only thing needed is the dedication of the dev to make this happen. If it does, then XPM could become very popular in my opinion.

Price has remained stable over the last few days (around $0.07 USD) so it makes it a great investment at the moment. If this goes to the moon then I would have made profit.  Grin

I think that all Primecoin needs right now is an updated website (that is regularly maintained).  Im welling to put this together, but am not sure how to find out if we have had anymore records since 2014.  If somebody can post these, it would be greatly appreciated.

you can find some primecoin people on www.peercointalk.org I think primecoin has a sub forum there

Prime coin is 10 times faster then Bitcoin and is,doing useful work searching prime numbers I believe the future should be bright for, prime coin the original devolpers doesn't seem to be doing much work on website or mobile wallet but since it's open source I think we need to find some one to,do,those, things as well as promote prime coin I,think at these levels there is tremendous value in prime coin

Exactly. Primecoin has so many good things that I could become a very popular coin if it has enough promotion. It has been one of my favorite altcoins ever since I've started with BTC and if I had enough time, I will do anything I can in order to support it and help it gain traction. For the meantime, I will just be buying XPM and holding them for the long term.  Smiley

Seems like the more "useful" coins are starting to make a comeback.  Going to invest a little bit in this and see where it takes me.

Primecoin getting a boost . I have a good feeling on XPM
don't forget providing potential scientific value in addition to minting and security for the network.

I'm with you.  It seems that the dev has abandoned XPM and decided to focus more on other things like Peercoin. Still,  XPM is a very good coin and I would love to see a major wallet update sometime in the near future, as it will give a fresh new feel of the cryptocurrency.  A mobile wallet would be a good one to have too, but this is up to how much interest the community has into the coin.  Undecided

I think this is one of the most underrated coins out there.

I think this is one of the most underrated coins out there.

Agree. Primecoin has managed to remain a stable cryptocurrency for quite some time now. It's price has also managed to remain stable in the $0.07 mark. Now if it could just a have a fresh new wallet developed, or some innovation then it would be fantastic. As long as the network remains strong, there should be nothing to worry about.  Cheesy

Anyone know how to find out if there have been any new prime number found lately?  Is there a way to check from the wallet?

Another world record broken on 5/16! We found our first 14 length Cunningham chain of the second kind! Which has on origin with 100 digits. (view all records)

How can you tell?  Can you tell me the process on how to find this?
