Not sure why you have to type so strange, I didn't and it's difficult to read.

The fact is that Ripple owns about 61 percent — or $16 billion worth — of XRP. Whether that's significant or not is perception. You also misunderstood me if you think that's an issue. For me it shows commitment to the product and it's only logical the founders own a significant amount.

However, you should include that amount when calculating the value of the company. The current market cap is ~11B, but you need to realize that the company is therefore valued around ~25B.

Edit: I've just scrolled down on the website and you're probably referring to the "held by Ripple" stats. You need to include the "held in escrow" stats to calculate the market cap. That it's not directly accessible influences the stability of the price (which is the reason why it has been put in escrow) but not the value of the company itself. Additionally they are still owned by the founders, just stored away safely for a while to please investors

I'm still holding some XRP because of sentimental value. It was the first coin that I bought which went to the moon. However, I don't think there will be much price movement over the coming years, it seems to be fairly priced at the moment.

With some calculations I have seen, their fair value is approximately $0.70 - $0.80 ifa significant number of large banks start using XRP for their transactions. Given that the potential is there, but not realized, I think the current value is fair and will stay there for a while.

Keep in mind that a significant portion of XRP is being held by the founders, so their company market cap is actually quite high already. It's a gamble, but since the upside is a 3x-5x profit, I prefer to gamble with alt coins that have a 10x - 50x potential.

Still seems like a pretty secure coin to hedge other funds.

If you scroll a little bit down there is your "bUt tHeY hOld a sIgNifIcAnT pOrTiOn" it is not significant. Doublehypocrite

https://ripple.com/xrp/market-performance/

Edit: its fair value isnt even on the map yet. You just should check their progress, IMF WEF...they all want a piece of it, but internet expertz are sooo much expert so woow 0.70 is most it can get, because im expert and say so. LoL

I don't think so, they may be a good option to invest now because the pump could be just around the corner but I think they are only a short term pump and dump coin now, especially because they are not decentralized so people eventually are gonna stop using it, hence don't think it will have a prosperous future and hence not a long term investment anymore.

I believe that you can not earn anything in 2 years

if you held over the last 2 years, you saw 4,000%+ gains

Hi , i wanna just know what are your expectations for XRP for a long term ?

maybe this has happened because of the news that ripple is being used by banks which makes the ripple centralized.

That ´News´ is what made it go up in the first place.
I made good money on ripple, because i just got into crypto and it seemed like a good shot, but i will not touch it anymore,
not even with a stick. If ripple was a hot blonde 20 year old swedish supermodel, i would not even smash!!

Maybe you have made good money but I expected the price of ripple to keep increasing longer and much higher than it is now.

I was expecting somewhere at $0.50, and the exchange rate in poloniex is pretty low comparing with the exchange rate that was before.

Are you still holding or you have sold all your ripples? I'm holding a small amount together will stellar as I think they are pretty similar and can go higher together.

Not likely. I had a good thought about ripple in the past and really was optimistic that this coin is going to be trending but didn't expected this.

Ripple price could be now at 50 cents but is at half of it while other coins have raised a lot, maybe this has happened because of the news that ripple is being used by banks which makes the ripple centralized.

Do not invest in ripple. I believe that you can not earn anything in 2 years and it is not worth to hold xrp. I would rather hold bitcoin instead of ripple because after all, bitcoin is still the greatest coin and it will remain to increase in the next few years

I am not too confident to invest in XRP,some time ago there was a big hype that the banks in Japan will be using their platform but then i heard rumors that it was rejected ,i am not sure what is happening and what the reality is,just like to hear from people who are experts about these news.
Go to other places to find valuable informatios on xrp. Everything you read on butthurttalk is mostly negative to xrp and ripple. The trolls try to discredit it but haven't done their research properly. You also can check the ripple subreddit. Very valuable informations.

Ripple is too big, it is inflationary too? I don't think it's an attractive investment long term. The only thing that can keep this coin pumping is wall street money and corporate money pumping it, but I dont like it, it is not even a blockchain.

I also buy at a high price, I think XRP will go back up, not according to my expectations, they do not get back up and I try to hold it for the next few weeks. And there is no change for that price, I try to sell. With a cheap price, I think maybe waiting for XRP to go back will take a very long time ..

Hi , i wanna just know what are your expectations for XRP for a long term ?
XRP is also a strong coin, it has potential to grow up but it's not good to make a long term investment in XRP so you should invest a little into XRP or just do a short-term, it's better

Bad ideea. In less than one year, ripple devs dumped tokens to the market to the point the existing supply in circulation got diluted by ~25%. They still own about ~65% of the total supply, not yet in circulation.
