XRP can never replace Bitcoin. There is not even any comparability between them. Although XRP has a certain number of users, it is not enough to compare!

Really, Ripple is progressing with its volume when compared to other top altcoins. Now, I believe if we invest in Ripple right now, and if already invested in Ripple will be safest decision when it is very near to Ethereum total volume and looking ahead to overtake Ethereum in coming months.

XRP is now at #2 at CMC with ETH moving to #3
I saw that but its now back again to its normal state.Eth back to #2 and XRP goes back to #3.
Each of their market caps aren't far to each other and this rivalry to number 2 spot has been close lately.
The battle for number 2 spot is really on going.
I like eth as it's convenient, fast and easy to use.

I am not surprised with the present status of Ripple coz it seems that it was quite expected to play tag of war with ETH. Not surprised because there are a bunch of smart people behind it. We do know how banks work right? And these banking geniuses know their do's and dont's when dealing with investments.
Last year Western Union did some transactions to test the Ripple Network. Lots of announcements regularly are made but XRP price does not spike. Still it is #2 in market capital behind only Bitcoin.
Ripple is indeed one type of altcoin that is a good development at the moment and soaring coins this year can even shift the position of ethereum and I am sure that for future developments it will certainly grow even better over time
It seems that investors trust Ripple than Ethereum. But, it doesn't mean that Ripple is better than Erhereum because they are different platforms. They're not real competitors in terms of technology. The market cap is just one measure of investors coming in.
This is not about which is better between XRP or ETH.
Investors want money, they want to make profit and at the moment all the momentum is with XRP not Ethereum.
I was also shocked and did't expect that it would make a takeover with ripple to ethereum. At the rate of the marketcap value, I think ethereum coin coin not keep the pace compared to ripple. But we will see to it if ripple would defend its rank in a long run.

xrp has been pump upto 4$ before last january 2018. I do not think it is a big comeback by the way. Though, It is pretty nice to see a good market fluctuations rather than full dip market.
I think XRP was at ATH of around $3.60 in January 2018
XRP has been a very good altcoin and it is one of the oldest altcoins. Likely the Ethereum. The volume and market analysis show that This coin is very promising. We can see the token circulation so far. It is good. Moreover, it has very different concept of the coin. But, I'm still doubtful if it will replace ETH.
I don't know where you got that. The project is just a little animated, by the way is still unknown for what reasons. Maybe it's a funeral ceremony...
I have been much impressed with the performance it has shown during this bear market trend. I think it'll be a good idea to have some and be hopeful things don't change along the line again.
