Ripple Price Prediction: Why Uphold Matters to XRP Over the Long Term

Last week, falling XRP prices drowned out what we consider a pretty important announcement: namely, that Uphold, Inc. added XRP functionality to its online platform.

For the uninitiated, this means that U.S. investors can buy XRP straight from U.S. dollars. No more waiting for a USD/BTC transfer. No more going to shady exchanges. Uphold allows XRP conversion to 34 different currencies in mere seconds.

Analyst Take

Cryptocurrency prices are locked together at the moment, so I don’t expect a single piece of Ripple news to send XRP prices surging. However, if and when we return to a bull market, investors will have an easier time moving from fiat to XRP. That’s a big step forward.

We maintain our Ripple price prediction, which suggests XRP prices can reach as high as $10.00 in 2018.

I agree, now all the coins are losing their price, but not as fast as the ripple does. For two months to fall from 3 dollars to 45 cents, where even lower?

There seems to be a global consensus to move the price of Xrp up. Whenever the graph is down, they are exploding. First, the XRP is collected at the price that has fallen, then the news is spread and the price is being sold at the rising price. The price can come and go. They are becoming big hitters.

well it looks as though bitcoin has done away with the both the December hype and the Januari correction, sitting at Early December levels with heavy volume. More upside to be expected and zith XRP's fundamentals, there is zero reason to stay behind.

I think Ripple is going to go on Coinbase some time this year.
I am really looking forward for this to happen.
Plus I am sure about few more good news to pop up for Ripple this year.
The problem right now is the Crypto bear market.

It looks like XRP is a never-ending crypto in discussion topics. In December 2017, the XRP was short-ranged to 3.5usd. That's a huge number. Currently the XRP has greatly reduced the value and only about 0.5usd. I think the current market is just FUD and will grow again. Bitcoin and ETH seem to have a great influence. I hope some exchanges like bittrex, binance will list XRP / altcoin, which will help stabilize the XRP.

Some people hate to even mention ripple, but some of us here are strictly looking to make some money. I've heard a million times "don't fall in love with your coins or else you will get burned", but applying that same agnostic view towards ripple it somehow against all of humanity. I have a feeling XRP will be listed on coinbase this year so that would also give a nice pump. When money comes back into this market this year the top 10 are going to really benefit and which of those are on coinbase will even more.
