It's not just about the supply. There are too many copy-cat and scam coins which has a lower supply. The XRB technology is unique because it's a DAG like IOTA but XRB is better than IOTA. Raiblocks offers an instant and free transactions. Also the developers are now working full-time for the project. Also I don't trust a coin with anonymous devs.

Those XRP will come (slowly) to market in next 10 years (55 months at least, but I doubt they'll all get sold, remaining will go back to escrow)

Never see ripple as a bitcoin alternative because they're totally different things. Bitcoin is the top leader of the market which is also a dominator, but ripple is just a simple payment method with market support behind.

That's what they said before too, some are doubting it will touch $0.25 but look at its price now. When it touch $1, you will also be back here doubting whether it will go beyond $2. The least an doubtful person could do it is to never mind a thread of a coin they aren't getting into. Chose BTC after all its the only that matters for non altcoin believers.

Ripple speculation in my soght.
It will goes maximum at $5 no more in the near. But when people using it alot for transactions and more ripple got burned every day for paying fees and developer doesnot add the coin in circullation. The price is goes up every day. In my sigh ripple price will goea up along with used of it. More institutional entities use it for banking or sending money it will make price goes up and ripple in circullation decreased.
